Either Amazon struck an insanely good deal with Bosch, or someone made a huge pricing error. They’re offering the new Bosch 18V CLPK232-181 combo, which includes their newest Compact Tough drill and a compact impact driver, for $111 – $20 = $91!! That’s $91 with free shipping, no coupon codes or rebates needed.
You can find the specs in our Bosch 18V drill/driver comparison guide.

Regular price is $200+!!
The kit includes the DDS181 Compact Tough drill driver, 25618 1/4″ hex impact driver, two of the newest HC high-capacity slim lithium-ion batteries, a charger, and a carrying bag.
Update: it looks like the kit is selling very rapidly. Look to the right of the screen where it says “more buying choices” and select Amazon as the seller. The price should still be around $111 before $20 instant-coupon. Amazon does not charge credit cards until an order ships, so you can always order it and change your mind and cancel if the backorder delay takes too long.
It appears that the deal is oversold. It may still be worth checking back to see if the deal goes live again.

thanks! Not sure when you posted the “oversold” update, but I was able to purchase the combo (for $90) 5 minutes ago.
Stuart
That’s good to hear! But as of now, it looks like the chances of getting in on the deal are near zero. Amazon completely pulled their listing, which is never good news. Most likely, this deal is dead for good.

“This item is no longer available from the seller you selected.”
I just missed it. I had it in the cart and kept waffling over if I want to switch my dying Craftsman C3 over to Bosch or just buy new C3 batteries.
Bill
Deal is now $189.99
Stuart
@Derek – I have learned to never hesitate with Amazon deals. Worst case scenario, if I order too hastily, I can usually cancel the order before it ships. If it ships too quickly, return freight fees usually aren’t high.
@Bill – It now shows $190 + $26 shipping via a 3rd party seller.
Rex Drummond
yeah, the one drawback is that there is PLENTY of time to cancel before shipping in this case–the estimated delivery for my order was 4-5 weeks.

I was gona wait for the new Milwaukee set but this is tempting……..what to do, what to do….

I checked around 10am west coast time and the deal was already gone. Sucks sometimes being on the west coast we miss out on some of the early deals Stuart finds!

That would have been a killer deal, But I really didn’t need it LOL
I Just got the 18V Dewalt with the lithium-ion batteries for about $85.00 from Lowes a while back.
And I got the Bosch Impact Driver for about $50.00 a while back when Amazon had them.
Is it the same Impact?

That’s an amazing deal. I’m almost glad it’s gone now, because I’d be too tempted to get it (I don’t “need” it)!
Stuart
I don’t remember a Bosch $50 impact driver deal. It could be the same one.
James, I don’t “need” it either, but figured what the heck. I’m a little worried, though, since it gives a Nov 25th ETA but did not ship out yet.
Bill
I’ll take it off your hands for $90!!
Yeah at that price I thinks everyone “needs it”.
David
I didn’t need one either but too good of a deal to pass up. May be a present for my son once he gets out of the Marines in June 2012. My order originally said to ship by Dec 29th, but I just got an email saying it has shipped and will arrive 11-29.
Stuart
My order still says expected to arrive 11/25, but it hasn’t shipped yet.
JayL
My order says Delivery Estimate: December 22, 2011 – January 10, 2012
Still not shipped.
Stuart
Update: many of us have received emails stating that the pricing was a mistake. However, the email also says that Amazon will be honoring 1 kit per customer at the incorrect price.
If you only ordered 1, then there’s a very good chance that you’ll receive it as expected. If you ordered multiple kits as gifts or to resell, expect for the quantity to reduced to 1.
David
I had ordered 2 and will only be getting 1. Just received confirmation that it has ship with a tracking #. ETA 12-5-11
