Deal: Bosch 18V Drill Kit for $88 or Less

Bosch 18V DBB180-02 Drill Kit

Over at Home Depot, this Bosch 18V DBB180-02 drill/driver kit is on sale for $88.11. If you spend more than $100 on Bosch tools, you get an extra $25 discount on your order.

Now, this isn’t a fully-featured drill/driver, nor is it the most powerful, most compact, or lightest. This drill won’t win any best-in-class recognition. The drill has a keyless 1/2″ chuck and peak torque rating of 400 in-lbs, and so it’s no slouch. The Li-ion batteries have 1.3Ah charge capacity, but you get two batteries and not just one. Charging time is probably slower as well.

But it’s also less than $90, and you can drop the price even more if you buy some Bosch products to push your order up beyond $10.

The $25 off $100 promo, which Amazon is also running right now, doesn’t seem to work on some accessories, but it does work on the tools I’ve tested. It’s a $25 off $100+ select tools promo, so you might have to try a couple of times before you find a filler product that’s eligible for the deal. Don’t just buy something to push the order over $100, as $88 is still a great price for what you get.

A new Bosch basic drill just came out, the 18V DDB181, and while it’s more compact it’s also pricier and is rated with a slightly lower maximum torque.

There are a number of $99 drill/driver deals available at the moment. This seems to beat a lot of them, as it’s priced even lower and comes with 2 batteries instead of just 1.

If you ask me, it’s a better idea to spend a little more for a main product line model, rather than a consumerized holiday special. But if your budget is strictly under $100, this looks to be the best 18V drill/driver kit deal that I know of right now.
