Bosch $25 off $100+ Pre-Black Friday Deal (2016)

Bosch 12V Max Starter Kit

Over at Amazon, they’ve kicked off some of their Pre-Black Friday tool and home improvement deals. One of the deals I always look forward to is their Bosch $25 off $100+ promo, and so that’s the first one I’ll post about.

Bookmark this link: Amazon Holiday Tool Deals Center

I’ll be posting about some of the other deals, which right now only include Makita and Hitachi $25 off $100+ promos. History has taught me that we should expect to see a similar Dewalt deal by mid-November.

There are 3 things you should know about this deal:

1. It’s limited to “cordless orders,” and it seems to be select cordless tool orders. There are still over 150 eligible tools and accessories, but it’s not a full “$25 off $100+ of almost anything Bosch” promo.

If your shopping list includes Bosch cordless tools, add-ons, or batteries – great! If there are other things you’ve been looking to buy, maybe we’ll see a better deal come November 18th after this promo expires.

2. Items must be purchased directly from Amazon, and not by a 3rd party seller.

3. The discount is applied at checkout. If you don’t see that $25 discount at checkout, something’s wrong.

I’ve been having mixed feelings about Bosch lately, but I still love some of their cordless tools, especially the 12V Max lineup.

Unfortunately, some of the newer or more premium tools, such as the PS42 brushless impact driver, are NOT eligible for the discount. Argh!

This promo ends 11/17/2016.

I said that I look forward to this Bosch deal every year. This might be the last year that’s true for. Well, maybe their “real” holiday promo will be better than this “Countdown to Black Friday” one.

This kind of sale structure gives you the best value if you stay as close as possible to the minimum price. That said, the 12v barrel grip jigsaw (bare tool) is $103 right now, making it $83 after tax and discount.

Pretty tempting, but my bosch 12v stuff is getting tired and they aren’t doing much to make me excited to keep investing in the line, might wait for the Milwaukee $99 for drill impact and 3 batteries deal to roll around instead

I got my m12 drill AND impact driver AND 2-1.5ah AND 1-3.0ah batteries AND charger for $99 a couple years ago. Best deal i’ve ever seen- try and hold out for that deal if you can and if it comes around again….
I actually sold my bosch kit so i could get the milwaukee 12v line… I’m so happy that i did that a couple years ago. I doubt that i would have thought of doing that had the bosch drill and impact came with a belt clip lol yes i switched brands over a belt clip. But now i’m so much happier! I have belt clips and a larger selection of 12v tools. The m12 3/8 ratchet is the bees knees.

Funny… it’s now $99.99 just one penny under the limit. The cheapest item to get it over $100 is a $8.99 wireless charging frame which is great if you use wireless charging. If not, your $25 discount is now $16.

A few others have the same deal – plus ones on Makita – I posted about this over on the ToolGuyd Community Forum:

Do these folks have any clue? Seriously, is a $25 discount REALLY going to move somebody to buy a $1,100 cordless demolition hammer?

That said, the Brushless 12v Drill/Driver is calling me. The only question is… get it for $135 with the annoying soft case AND two batteries, or go the bare tool route for $109 with an L-Boxx insert? Leaning towards the $135 option, $110 after discount.

Does anybody know where you can get L-Boxx inserts by themselves?

you can get them directly from bosch.

I fail to see why Bosch’s newer brushless 12v tools (which have actually been out for 2 or so years overseas) aren’t included in this promo.

I’m with you, Stuart. Bosch needs to give us reasons to get excited for them again. There’s definitely an aura of staleness about them.

Seems like it mostly applies to the older, brushed cordless tools. Probably a way to move stock since they are eventually going to stop making the brushed stuff or at least Amazon will have a lower amount of inventory.

And yeah, the 12V jigsaw is quite the deal here.

But they have the jigsaw priced just under the $100 threshold:

      https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-JS120BN-12-volt-Cordless-Exact-Fit/dp/B00OKGAEYM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478168623&sr=8-1&keywords=12+v+jigsaw

Maybe – if that’s all you want – you’ll need to buy it at one of the other dealers who are offering the $25 off – and have it priced just over $100

I knew Amazon would do something like this. Either lower the price slightly so it doesn’t qualify or raise the price to negate the discount.

I did some looking around – seems like International tool might have the best price ($109 – minus $25 = $84) after the $25 off deal

          http://www.internationaltool.com/brand/bosch/cordless-tools/bosch-js120bn-12v-barrel-grip-jig-saw-bare-tool

but then you need to add something (doesn’t need to be Bosch) for $15 to get you free shipping so your total cost will be $99

Alternatively you might find some inexpensive qualifying Bosch item at Amazon to bundle in – bringing the price over $100 – but the cheapest Item I could find is the Bosch CFL180 bare tool 18V flashlight selling for $29.99 – so with it your cost will be about $105 ($99.99+$29.99 – $25)
