New Bosch (UK) 4.0Ah 18V Batteries

Bosch (UK) recently announced a new premium 4.0Ah battery for their 18V cordless power tool lineup. The new higher capacity battery has electronic cell protection that protects it from overloading, overheating, and deep discharging. It will charge in a brisk 45-minutes, and from what we read a new Hyper Charge quick charger brings it to 75% capacity in half the time.

The new batteries will be available in Europe starting in September 2012.

Dewalt, Hitachi, and Milwaukee are all releasing new 18V 4.0Ah battery packs of their own. Curiously, Milwaukee is the only brand to have explicitly announced USA distribution plans.
