Bosch Compact Cordless Impact Wrench and its “Unreal Size”

Bosch 12V Max Unreal Size Image

Bosch sent out a public newsletter, promoting new 12V Max cordless power tools they’re soon coming out with.

We haven’t seen a press release yet, and so I took a quick look at the newsletter. What I found was highly amusing, and it completely distracted me for a moment.

Update: A PR just hit my inbox, I’ll add it to my to-do list. There’s a new 12V hammer drill and cordless screwdriver.

Bosch 12V Max – REAL POWER. UNREAL SIZE.

One of Bosch’s 12V Max tools, their PS82 brushless impact wrench – save $20 off the kit now via Amazon – is so compact that…

Bosch PS82 Invisible Impact Wrench Listing

It’s invisible to the naked eye?!

HA!

Maybe it’s a new active stealth mode edition, for those of us whose spouses hate seeing new tools around the house!?

Bosch PS82 Invisible Impact Wrench

I took a look at the product page, and it’s invisible there too!

This isn’t Bosch’s first product image mishap, and other brands and retailers slip up all the time as well.

With this one, I just found it too amusing not share. I saw the unreal size blurb, thought “well, they’re not that small,” and then *poof* this one’s so small it’s invisible!

I’m sure the image will be fixed in short order.

While I’ve got your attention about Bosch 12V Max cordless power tools, you should know that their brushed motor screwdriver kit is still on sale for $69.

And, there’s a new $20 off $100+ promo that works on select Bosch tools, including the updated PS82 kit whose listing this post is about. Sorry, it’s not really invisible.

Other retailers are also offering a similar $20 off $100+ discount on Bosch Tools.

Oh – and ToolNut has the NEW Bosch value-focused 18V Freak brushless impact driver/wrench kit on sale for $99 – and with a quick test I saw that it’s eligible for the added $20 off $100+ promo. Adding a $2 nutsetter raises the order total to $101, which then drops to $81 in-cart.

Make sure your order is over $99 to get free shipping, otherwise ground shipping is a flat $8.

gee that’s impressive. I mean it’s gotta fit in those tight spaces. might not remove anything but it would fit.

I guess it’s going to end up being the body of the flex-clic driver or their other impact driver but with a 3/8 anvil. if it pushed 100 or such in-lbs it would be a decent tool to use.

The PS82 came out a couple of years ago https://toolguyd.com/bosch-12-brushless-ps42-impact-driver-ps82-impact-wrench-2016/ .

      3/8″ anvil, 85 ft-lbs.

they need to come out with a tire pump tool I have everything else bosch and they are great tools but bought a ryobi 18v tire pump for simple things around the house and cars instead of dragging out the compressor and cords … so much of a time saver

i also ended up buying the brad nailer 18v( again not wanting to drag out the compressor ) then they had the brushless impact drill and get 2 free batteries ( 4amp ) that was a deal

between bosch ryobi and hitichi im pretty covered now just bosch come out with a tire pump !!

I’m still using the brushed PS41 with impact-rated hex-to-square adapters since the brushless 12V Max stuff hasn’t come down in price enough where I’d feel it’s worth it, and there are other brands with brushless 24V 3/8″ impacts with double the torque and half the price.

I really really like my brushed Bosch 12V stuff, but Bosch really really needs to expand their selecton of brushless tools.

While there’s nothing wrong with the old brushed 12V Max stuff or even the 18V tools, it’s a bit weird to still be selling the same power tools over a decade later while only slowly introducing a few new brushless tools every few years, while your competition has an extensive lineup of brushless tools, higher capacity batteries, accessories, and more.

The goof ups in the marketing and advertising seem to go along with the goof ups in other aspects of the company.

What is “unreal” about the Bosch 12/18v lines is how glacial new products are introduced for them.

Remember this article? Obama still had 8 months left in office when you wrote it. Milwaukee, Dewalt, Ryobi, and Makita have all introduced one (or more) cordless inflators since it was written. Maybe Bosch will get around it to by 2022. Maybe we will see a 12v ratchet by ’24?

    https://toolguyd.com/more-pro-tool-brands-need-to-make-cordless-inflators/

The stuff they make generally works pretty well. But other brands continue to make their pace of innovation look downright silly, and for people who don’t want to be on multiple battery platforms, that’s an issue.

Not enough buyers for all kinds of “battery devices and tools” About 15 different tools sell well, whatever the brand. In my own country.
