Over at Amazon, their Prime Day 2019 deals are still ongoing, ending today.
The Bosch 12V Max Flexiclick 5-in-1 cordless drill/driver is currently the focus of a HUGE discount.

“Clip the coupon” on the product page, right under the price, and you’ll save 25% at checkout.
Add at least $1 in eligible Bosch tools or accessories, and your order is pushed over $200 and you get an added $50 discount.
For example, adding a Bosch quick-change impact driver bit holder, priced at $5.59, pushes my before-discount total to $204.59. Amazon takes off $50 as part of today’s Bosch $50 off $200+ promo, and then $49.75 off the price of the Flexiclick tool kit. The final total is $105.84 plus tax.
There are loads of eligible tools you can add to your order to bump the subtotal from $199 to over $200. The quick-change bit holder is the least expensive I could find right now, as less expensive bits or drill bits don’t seem to be eligible.

What’s the Bosch Flexiclick All About
In a nutshell, it is a modular head drill/driver, with the different heads allowing for easier drilling or driving accessibility in tight or obstructed work spaces.
Here is our Bosch Flexiclick launch coverage, and here’s more of our Flexiclick tool posts since then.

I want but don’t really need. Also, at $200 I would have wished this were brushless but at $100 I wouldn’t care so much.
AC
Good deal, but up $20 since yesterday.
csroc
Realllly? Interesting, I noticed that with something else I was considering. The price went up a few bucks from where it started yesterday morning.
Toolfreak
Yeah, $179 with a $20 Bosch filler was a better deal than $199 with a $1+ filler.
But, it’s still ~$100 so, not a bad deal for a decent quality tool.
Stuart
They’ve done this with a few things. A Craftsman impact driver kit that was $66 this morning changed to $79 later on.
There might have been quantity limitations set by the manufacturers.
Christo Thomas
Yes, craftsman was 66 in the morning and now 79, I had that in my cart in the morning. Cart is still showing 66. I finally bought it for 66
Toolfreak
Down to $180.96 now, but not showing the 25% coupon or being eligible for the $50 off $200.
Stuart
Looks like Amazon sold out. It might be worth checking back to see if they update the listing. This happened with the Dewalt fan, and a Blu-Ray movie I intended to buy but didn’t. They sold out, the deals seemed dead, and then they returned as available for backorder.
But with this deal, and given the timing with Amazon Prime days nearly over, I’m not so sure that’s likely to happen.

Heard a rumor from someone who went to a Bosch event that there will be a brushless 12V Max flexclick out soon. It will have an additional attachment; a pneumatic rotary hammer with SDS plus bit holder. (Just like the 18V flexclick)
I’m in Asia right now, so can’t comment on the truth of the rumor, or, if true, would it ever reach the USA.
Stuart
Bosch announced a new brushless Flexiclick tool in Europe back in May, but I haven’t heard anything yet about a rotary hammer attachment.
Frank D
The new brushless flexi click has been announced in May.
Read it on their German site.
It will be brushless and come with a belt clip, and something was said about a larger head (chuck?) .
As far as an additional attachment and that being SDS???
That’d be a NO. No additional attachments shown.
SDS? … no idea where that came from, I guess it might be technically feasible, with a specialized adapter ring, maybe they trialed something like that, but I have no idea how much of a hole one could drill, how many, how the drill would hold up, … and it probably would not be something they’d do with the flexi click system though. Maybe a stand-alone driver with different chuck.
Here’s the translated news from the German Press Room (hope the link does not send it to spam)

The Bosch flexiclic 18 v has the sds+ head. It’s been out awhile.
Frank D
I see. I was not aware they had an 18v one.
Just went looking through the German catalog.
I can find the head …

And, it took me a while to find the drill. Did not show up via flexi search, and isn’t shown with a clever thumbnail to distinguish it from other drills.

Actually, it is on ToolGuyd in 2015

Anyway.
It may be a reliability / durability type thing to have it in 12v.

Stuart.
I recall paying $116 for this exact combo last year during this very same Amazon promo period.
So itβs now a year later and $10 cheaper.
I also recall waiting perhaps a month for it to finally arrive. The offset head option has been very useful especially if you have hex head drill bits.
Their bigger 18v version hasnβt been missed yet.
Frank D
I recall mine being like $125.
( looks at order history )
July 16:
Item(s) Subtotal: $187.95
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Deal of the Day: -$68.95
Total before tax: $119.00
Estimated tax to be collected: $6.55
Grand Total: $125.55
Difference this year is, that our model will be clearanced out for the updated (brushless, belt hook, … ) model.
My Flexi has been fantastic in close quarters, whether remodeling, assembling things, etc … I have love it so much that I bought a drill/driver kit as to not abuse the flexi for stuff it doesn’t need to do π … and now I am hoping to get the entire Bosch 12v series, as a primary tool kit; and leaving the 18v for serious carpentry tasks, construction.
Hint: Do NOT look up the Bosch 12v gamma in Europe.
There’s a few products – existing as consumer green and/or professional blue – that Bosch absolutely should ship over and sell on the American market. Why let Milwaukee dominate the 12v market???
Expand the offerings. Bosch users and new adopters will buy it.
Serge
I bought mine for $117 in November on Amazon last year plus free set of impact bits.
This particular Amazon deal does not sound amazing.
Jim Felt
Opps! It turns out my Amazon account shows I bought a second one as a gift last November for $102.
And yes I too remember the Brushless version being touted.
But honestly the offset hex driver attachment is by far my only valid reason for buying into this otherwise kinda wonky system of multiple heads. None seem as substantial as my individual 12V Bosch stand alone tools.
Stuart
It was $119 during Prime Day 2018, and on Cyber Monday 2018 Amazon had it bundled with a 40pc bit set for $118.

The Flexiclick was a better price yesterday, but today’s is still better than I ever recall seeing it before.
Adam
If you really want brushless, you can swap the body with a brushless driver. Old tool becomes brushes, flexi-click is brushless.
Such a good price, and the Bosch fit in the hand is perfect, but I’m so into M12/M18. Will wait for the installation driver, or not. Too good to pass up now, will think later.
Kizzle
Waiting on the brushless, however, it may be cheaper to buy this for the accessories and batteries and then buy the brushless bare tool when it releases?
Frank D
Of course the updated model will be full price.
Will brushless be a substantial enough difference in the long run?
Can you live without the little belt clip?
( I bought a custom belt holster on AMZ )
To me, if you can see the versatility of the FC and somewhat often to frequently have to do things in very close quarters (modifications inside cabinets, desks, walls, ceilings, housings, …) where traditional 18v stuff is just way too big or can’t get the angle …
Or you need to assemble a fair bit of flat pack stuff, with a similar issue where typically you can only use the little wrench or you need a flex neck ….. the FC with the special offset head, light weight, great grip, … it very easily pays for itself in lack of frustration and time saved.
I smile every time I use its intended versatility.
Toolfreak
The brushless stuff seems to stay priced high for years.
The brushed stuff is excellent and is great if you want quality tools to use now and price/affordability is a factor.
Plus, the FC system is great for someone that just wants one tool and doesn’t mind swapping heads instead of paying hundreds for seperate drills, drivers, etc. I like having the seperate tools so I can have a drill bit in one and a drive bit in the other and grab each when needed to make the job go faster, but someone may prefer having the one tool and attachments and saving space. Also great for 18-20V tool users to have one versatile compact 12V tool in a case with batteries and charger.
Kizzle
I have no doubt the brushless will be just fine for what I need. Basically buying this $100 kit and buying the brushless bare tool when it is released is still probably going to be cheaper than the brushless kit. The batteries and charger would be ~$70 on their own, not even considering the $20-30 a piece for the different head attachments if bought piece by piece. I’d imagine the brushless kit will be around $250
Frank D
I guess I am still missing the point with β buying the brushless as bare tool β … as I have only ever seen it as a full kit, 4 heads, battery + charger. Whether US or EU.
Will you be dismantling a 12v unit of some type?
Kizzle
They have the current flexiclick as a bare tool. I assume the brushless will be available as a bare tool too. Even more so with the brushless even….for people with the brushed current model that will want to upgrade to the brushless.
Frank
Honestly, while I know brushless is better long term durability wise and battery consumption wise; I think a lot of it is hype to drive upgrade sales, and the value may not be there.
I rebuilt a 100 year old house with a regular-slight-subcompact-ish size makita nimh 12v drill and driver; the units still function 100% fine; would need new A123 batteries again. It was the only stuff I had for 5 years, with weekly to daily use. Had to fall back on them with Ridgid 24v battery struggles.
So, when it comes to Bosch 12v … I just bought 6 tools … with a variety of promos ($30 off 149, 50 off 200). Will look at importing a couple from EU. Not waiting for upgrades. Had another couple tight quarter instances where I needed more compact tools …
But yeah, if you can buy a $100-ish FC on sale and you can get a newer FC brushless bare tool, youβd have two FC!
At the same time, I have a regular $125 FC and a $100 drill and driver set with two batteries and charger ( Lowes in store ) Not worried about brushless. The specs are the same. Only thing I miss is belt clips.
Toolfreak
Glad I got in on this yesterday for the $179 price before discounts, got to use the big bit set with the right angle adapter as a filler that put it 30 cents over $200.
I actually like the brushed 12V handle more than the smoother handle of the brushless that has less rubber overmold, and all my other 12V Max are brushed too, so I’ll be happy with these for at least the next few years until brushless tools completely take over.
Ben V
I’m glad I didn’t wait π

Great looking tool for the housewife.
