Bosch L-Boxx-3D and Cordless Tool Inserts

A few months ago we gave you a sneak peek of Bosch’s new Click & Go L-Boxx products, including the new LS-Boxx drawered unit. We’ve been hunting for more information and in doing so dug up a few new details.

Bosch L-Boxx-3D

The L-Boxx-3D will be kitted with two removable organizers, and additional organizers will be available separately. This would allows users to swap out different bit or accessory kits depending on the job.

We’re not sure what Bosch’s exact plans are, but we found a neat 10.8V (12V Max) insert/inlay configurator via theirĀ UK microsite. This suggests that Bosch will bundle certain tools as complete L-Boxx kits, and perhaps bare tools and small kits will be bundled with tool inlays to make them “L-Boxx-ready.”

There’s no word as to whether inserts will be available for 18V tools as well.

Also, please remember that Bosch’s UK and EU plans may be quite different from their USA plans. Hopefully we’ll see these inserts available here, but nothing is certain until Bosch kick-starts their Click & Go sales in a month or two.

I think the bundling is a great idea – not sure if “were” ready for it here in the stats. I am but not sure on others

I’ve got an empty L-Boxx sitting on the shelf in my garage that has a few Bosch 10.8 tools (impact, driver, mini recip saw, charger, and a few batteries) headed it’s way just as soon as I figure out what I want to make my dividers out of and decide on a layout.

Sortimo makes these cases for Bosch. Took a look at the Sortimo website today…going to need a larger tool budget if I’m going to buy too much of it to go along with what I already have.

Will the Bosch i-Boxx fit in these 3D Boxes? Also how to get the inserts for already purchased 12 tools?

    Thanks!

      The L-Boxx-3D is compatible with: i-BOXX53, i-BOXX53-12, i-BOXX72, i-BOXX72-10, LST92-OD, FOAM-101, FOAM-201, ORG72-10, ORG53-12 drawers and accessories.

Right now there’s no way to buy L-Boxx inserts separately.

Any idea how well the drawers stay in the 3D? I ask because I don’t want to get this unit and find out that the removable organizers fall out if I happen to pull this towards me and lift at the same time.
