Hot Deal: Bosch Oscillating Multi-Tool for Under $100!

Bosch MX25EC 21pc Oscillating Tool Kit

Bosch’s MX30 oscillating tool is a top-of-the-line multi-tool with a tool-free blade change mechanism and 3.0A motor. But that also means it’s a little pricey. Because of this, Bosch’s older-but-still-versatile MX25 multi-tool remains a popular pick for users with smaller budgets.

The MX25 is currently on sale as Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of the Day for just $97. They say that this is a 65% discount, which is a bit of an exaggeration. This Bosch MX25EC-21 oscillating multi-tool kit is normally priced at ~$145 and up, meaning that today’s discount is about 33%. Still, that’s pretty darned good.

I don’t remember the last time you could score a Bosch oscillating multi-tool for less than $100. Looking back at the ToolGuyd archive, there was an MX35 kit discounted to $115 during a sale and $20 off $100+ promotion.

The MX25 has a 2.5A motor, variable speed dial (8,000 – 20,000 OPM), and circuitry that maintains constant speed under load. Blade changes are done via an Allen wrench. It can be used with any of Bosch’s OIS oscillating tool blades and accessories, and with the included adapter it can fit other brands’ OIS-compatible accessories as well.

Sale price ends at 3am ET 9/26/13 unless supplies sell out sooner.

This kit comes with:

  • (1) OSC138JF Japanese-tooth wood saw blade
  • (1) OSC312F wood/metal saw blade
  • (1) OSC312RF RIFF grout blade
  • (1) SDP001 sanding pad
  • (15) wood and paint-sanding sheets
  • (1) OSCAD1 adapter
  • (1) allen wrench
  • (1) accessory box
  • (1) carrying bag
  • (1) accessory mounting screw & washer

Man, I’ve been holding out for a similarly good deal on an MX30 (made in Switzerland being the main reason), but this pretty darned tempting.

Darn, I had hoped the deal would come back later in the day, but it looks like they did sell out quite early.

They had the same deal during last year’s Black Friday deals week or around Christmas, I forget which. My money is on seeing it again for that price.
