Bosch RHA-50 SDS-Plus Right Angle Attachment

Bosch’s new RHA-50 is a right angle attachment for SDS-Plus rotary hammers that allows for easier access in hard-to-reach areas. It can be rotated into any position for even greater versatility.

Given the geometry of the adapter, you would probably only want to use it for drilling operations, as opposed to chiseling. All of Bosch’s literature regarding this product describe how it makes it easier and more comfortable to drill into hard-to-reach masonry materials. They make no mention of using it any other mode, so it might only be suited for masonry drilling applications.

The new right angle adapter fits newer Bosch corded and cordless SDS-plus rotary hammers:

  • 11253VSR
  • 11255VSR
  • RH228VC
  • RH328VC
  • RHH181-01 (this is their newest brushless rotary hammer)
  • 11536-C
  • 11536VSR

It does NOT fit Bosch rotary hammers models 11250VSR, RH328VCQ, RH432VCQ. Some of these models seem to work with their older 1618580000 adapter.

MSRP is $219

At $219, this isn’t exactly an inexpensive adapter, but it looks to be very useful for users who often struggle or face hurdles when drilling into hard-to-reach areas.

Interesting. I wonder if it would fit my Milwaukee SDS Plus hammer? I wonder why it wouldn’t others if it is a SDS-plus adapter.

It might have to do with interference of the chuck.
