A few days ago, we talked a bit about Woodpeckers’ new shelf pin drilling jig. Since then, I remembered that Lee Valley sells a similar system by Veritas, and decided that a comparison was in order.
Lee Valley just announced a new line of Veritas detail rabbet planes, which are now available in 5 sizes. These very slender planes ( Lee Valley describes them as pocket-sized), can be used for fine controlled and precice cuts that typically call for a chisel, such as when cleaning dados or grooves.
Lee Valley’s most recent newsletter featured a new nut and bolt thread identifier tool that they’ve just begun carrying. From now until January 24th, the tool is being offered for $13.50, and the regular price is said to be $18.50.
