Earlier this month we wrote about the new Ridgid JobMax starter kits on Home Depot’s website that feature the standard starter kit and a free attachment tool head of choice, but people had problems getting on the deal. It looks like Home Depot fixed things – the kits are no longer “out of stock” and […]
We took a look through Sears’ Black Friday sales flyer ahead of time, and hand-picked a few of the best to share with you. Read More

Bosch just released a new video showing their new Power Box 360 enduring some pretty heavy abuse. Not as much abuse as in Ridgid recent jobsite radio torture test, but it’s still pretty serious. We’re talking concrete stadium steps and an aluminum bat. We reviewed the new Power Box 360 a few months ago – and loved […]
The first tool of Dewalt’s new 12V Max compact cordless tool lineup that we’ll be reviewing is the 3/8″ drill/driver DCD710S2. We already reviewed the handle and common features of the 12V Max lineup, so you may want to check that out before or after this one. As expected, the drill was a pleasure to use, and […]
Dewalt has finally launched their new lineup of cordless 12V Max lithium ion power tools. When I first previewed these new compact tools, it was love at first touch. We currently have the full range of tools in-hand for review, and will start off the series by discussing the tools’ common handle and battery design.
Over at HomeDepot.com, you can now find new Ridgid JobMax starter kits that include the tools you want for less money. Previously, getting the tool you wanted to start with meant having to buy the power handle & multi-tool starter kit for $100 and a separate tool head for $50 more. These new kits offer the […]

We talked a bit about Milwaukee’s new M12 cordless palm nailer last month, but its performance expectations have just been made available. Milwaukee claims that the palm nailer can drive a 16D 3-1/2” nail in under 2 seconds, and up to 100 nails per battery charge. That sounds pretty darn impressive – let’s hope that it can […]
Porter Cable’s new ClampSaw is part of their introductory 12V Max Li-Ion cordless tool lineup. The ClampSaw, a compact reciprocating saw, looks pretty handy with its pivoting handle, but how well does it perform? We received a review sample and tested the saw on a number of different materials to find out. (Check price via Amazon)
Dewalt’s new 12V Max cordless tool lineup is finally available. We mentioned these tools a few times thus far, and will be reviewing quite a few of them in upcoming weeks as well. From what we’ve seen already, they’re downright amazing.
Last fall we reviewed Milwaukee’s M12 cordless right angle drill, and found it to be a darn decent tool. It performed well, provided enough torque for RA applications, and had great ergonomics. It looks like a new M18 18-volt version is due to be released soon, so we compared the specs for the two tools.
An older model Ryobi cordless drill has just been recalled. Sold at Home Depot from January 2001 to July 2003, drill model HP 1802M is being recalled due to a flawed switch that can potantially overheat causing a fire and burn hazard. If you have a drill that looks like the one shown above with […]
