Bosch’s PS41-2A 12V pocket impact driver has just started popping up at online retailers. This update to Bosch’s PS40 impact driver is not as huge of a step forward compared to PS21 Pocket Driver and PS31 Compact Corded Drill, but it’s still quite an improvement. As we mentioned in our sneak peak a few months […]
Dremel’s new 8200 cordless rotary tool is powered by a brand new 12V-max Li-ion battery, making it the fastest and most powerful cordless tool of its kind. The 8200 is not exactly compact, but its battery allows it to be used for many jobs where a corded tool would be inconvenient or impossible to use. We are avid fans […]
A few weeks ago, we talked about Bosch’s new Power Box 360 music/power center, and how it claims to “re-define” jobsite sound. The new Power Box 360 features four speakers and a subwoofer, modern media connectivity options, and quite a few snazzy features. While that sounds great on paper, how does the Power Box 360 […]

This will be the very first cordless tool under the Dremel brand that is not a rotary tool. Dremel highlights that with the new 12V Max Lithium Ion batteries first introduced with their 8200 cordless rotary tool, the cordless Multi-Max […]
Steve from over at the ShopNGarage blog & forum recently reviewed Milwaukee’s M12 cordless drill and driver. The review was overwhelmingly positive, confirming our expectation that the M12 3/8″ drill is a very solid performer. As we also noticed in our own review of Milwaukee’s similarly featured 3/8″ right angle drill, Steve mentions that the drill’s chuck felt […]
ToolSnob’s Doug Mahoney wrote a thorough review on Ridgid’s JobMax tool system over at PopMech. He compared the performance of the various tool heads against dedicated compact cordless tools, and concluded that while not perfect the JobMax held up fairly well. Rockwell’s new 12-volt H3 is a cordless rotary hammer drill with an SDS Plus quick chuck. Somehow, Rockwell managed to pack quite a bit of power into a compact and lightweight tool. The drill’s 3-in-1 quick change chuck can be used to equip the tool as a rotary hammer drill, conventional 3-jaw drill, or power screwdriver.
Home Depot is having a “Spring Cyber Monday” online-only sale today. As part of their sale, Home Depot is selling Ryobi’s Auto Hammer for an obscenely low $20. We reviewed the Auto Hammer a few months ago, and had some mixed feelings about. At $20 (plus shipping), the Auto Hammer now costs less than a […]

Towards the end of 2008, Porter Cable revamped their 18V cordless tool lineup and came out with all new tools and combo kits. Since then, we’ve been a little hesitant to embrace these new tools for several reasons, but ultimately decided that they’re worth a fair and objective evaluation. We’re going to kick off a series […]

The PS41 is an update to the venerable but dated PS40, and like Bosch’s new PS21 pocket driver and PS31 drill/driver, the new impact driver appears to have been significantly […]
After our post about the new Bosch PS31 3/8″ drill/driver went live earlier today, I realized that the PS21 Pocket Driver is essentially identical to the newly redesigned PS31 drill, except for their different chucks (1/4″ hex vs. 3/8″).
Following hot on the heels of the newly redesigned PS21 Pocket Driver is Bosch’s new PS31-2A 12 volt 3/8″ cordless drill/driver, which improves upon their PS30 model. The newest addition to Bosch’s lineup of compact lithium-ion cordless tools is lighter, more compact, and stronger than its predecessor.
