Craftsman 6-Drawer Ball Bearing Chest Red and Black

Over at Sears, Craftsman’s red and black ball bearing combo is on sale for $250. Both the 6-drawer chest and 4-drawer rollaway cabinet are on sale individually as well.

The chest is 26″ long, 12″ deep, and 15-1/4″ tall. The drawers can support a maximum of 50 lbs each, and the unit features a keyed internal locking system.

The cabinet also features a keyed locking system, and the drawers can support a maximum of 50 lbs of tools each. It comes with 4-1/2″ casters, 2 stationary and 2 locking, and not shown is a side handle.

    You’ll need an extra $30 and some assembly required to get matching keys top and bottom.

      Good point. For what it’s worth, I don’t lock any of my tool chests due to the inconvenience. Not because the keys are different, but because the way the lock works – you have to lift the lid, push all the drawers in, then lower the lid, then lock them up.

    They finally started competing with Harbor Freight at this price point. Craftsman tool boxes have just looked pathetic and expensive by comparison for a long time. I wish it weren’t true, but being that they are both sourcing form China, price and quality wins. Harbor Freight has sadly been working Sears for a while now.
