Tool Nut Cyber Monday Banner

Tool Nut, which won this year’s “best Cyber Monday banner” award, for the above image, has a couple of remaining Black Friday weekend deals. They should have a Cyber Monday Doorbuster, but it doesn’t look to have been activated yet.

The Makita 9404 seems eligible, I’m thinking of this sander.
There’s a long series on YouTube for turning it into a stationary sander with fences if you need.

Holy crap you guys gotta go check out the Acme 18% off exclusion list just for the humor.
It’s worse than a harbor freight % off coupon.

Yep, with the Lee Valley sale you have to check out quickly otherwise someone else will get it even if you have it in your cart. Which makes me wonder… were you the guy that snagged the medium shoulder plane before I could get to it.?
      : )
I did still manage to get one or two items that I had on my wish list. But all the good stuff was pretty much gone by 12:05 am.

Nope. I got it snagged from me too 😆. I wanted the bevel up smoother but had to settle for the low angle smoother. Also got the router plane.

Ha. I got the router plane last year.
I wished they would also have a deal on blades. I need to order some for the router plane and my smoother. I guess the way top get a deal on those is to buy the discounted gift card, and use that to buy the blades, and effectively get a discount on those.
I still can’t figure out what they mean by “blemished” I can’t figure out what was “blemished” on my plane purchases from them last year. However I am not complaining.

Buying the gift card is a good second prize since other stuff isn’t on sale.

I have heard their blemishes are non existent. Watch I’ll have very noticeable marks on mine. Lol

Yep. I have a few “blemished” tools, and can’t tell what the issue could have been. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’re not likely to find it.

I thought this years Black Friday sales were excellent especially at Home Depot. I was able to pick up a lot of useful stuff for others and myself. Although I don’t know if other people thought that way because local HDs to me still have a ton of stuff left over in everything. I’m guessing it’ll mean some insane clearance deals soon. Lowes though didn’t seem to have as much stuff this year that I found useful. Harbor Freight did a good job too though.

Stuart just a heads up Walmart has this excellent set of Maglite 2aa LED and a US Made Gerber knife for $25.00 in store. My local stores had a massive amount of them left in the isles and end caps. It’s a great deal and I’ve bought a few for friends / family this year for stocking stuffers. I had to get myself a set too.

Also if you look at the Dyson Outlet eBay store they are having a massive sale on refurbished Dyson Cordless Units. Like some of them are over 60% off right now. I bought what used to be a European only V8 Total Clean package. It includes everything the V8 Absolute package includes plus a few more accessories. $249.00 instead of $599 new. It was for the better half but I may have to get one for myself as well.

I haven’t found anything tool wise on Cyber Monday yet (electronics yes). Any German / European hand tool deals this year like Knipex, PB Swiss, etc?

Glad you posted the 18% off from Acme. Picked up a set of Bessey Extender clamps for $172 + free shipping after the sale price+18% off. That’s the most economical clamp deal I’ve seen seen this Black Friday.

I’m in the market for a Makita mac700 air compressor and so far have seen Acme tools at the lowest price of 172.00. Just wondering if I should go now or wait and see if I can get a betterdeal. I’m not in a rush but also don’t want to pass up a deal.

Many Makita tools don’t get discounted much more than the $25 off deal that usually comes around at year end. So the 18% off at Acme seems like a very good deal – saves you about $13 compared to Amazon and $5 off of what its costs at ToolOrbit – the lowest other price ($202.33-$25) I could find.

That’s the best deal I’ve seen in a while. The only exception was when amazon was mistakenly deducting $25 for each hundred spent on Makita tools. That’s not likely to come back! 😛

Acme had the DeWalt flexvolt saw on backorder (2-3 weeks) so I called Homedepot and they price matched it and took off an extra $10. So the flexvolt saw kit ended up $269.78. I’ve already got a lot of flexvolt batteries so I’ll probably sell the battery and charger for $120-$150 and get the saw for around $140. Love good ol’ competition.

If anyone’s in the market for Dewalt’s 40-Volt Brushless String Trimmer (Bare) it can be had for $151.69 use “quarterback” through Acme Tools. I’ve looking for one of these for a while and normal price is $199.

Is $79 for the Bosch “Freak” kit w/ battery/charger/bag a good deal? Or is that fairly close to normal pricing? Seems pretty solid for an impact driver -or- impact wrench, not to mention this freaky combination.

It’s a pretty good price if the specs and capabilities of the tool work for what you want to use it for. The 2-tool kit they had with the same “Freak” tool but with a drill and a free tool is a better deal since it comes with two 4Ah batteries instead of the 2Ah battery the “Freak” kit comes with, if you need more than just that one tool.

I’d say search & find a Lowe’s $10 off $50 coupon online and buy it that way to make it an even better deal if you can, too.

That’s a new tool, and what looks to be Lowes-exclusive pricing, but I think it’s a very good deal.
