The dewalt crown stapler or pin nailer might be calling my name.

    Thanks.

Been quite pleased with the Ryobi 18 ga crown stapler and 18 ga brad nailer.

My order for the $199 M18 Fuel 15 ga angled nailer kit arrived yesterday, pricewise it was hard to pass up, I was going to watch for a deal on a bare tool Ryobi 16 ga nailer, been impressed with Ryobi cordless nailer performance so far, had to return the first brad nailer as it was DOA, buy otherwise they have performed exemplary.

Now waiting on M18 Fuel 7 1/4 Circular saw ordered on Cyber Monday.

I’ve been more or less watching the 16ga nailer for about a year now. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on sale or even part of a kit.

I grabbed the 16ga Milwaukee as a kit when it was a daily deal in June(ish?) It’s been awesome. Unless I’m working in a very tight space, I grab it over pneumatic every time.

I paid full retail for the 16 gauge when it first came out after going back and forth dreading buying a Paslode 16g for a year or so due to my history of loving and hating them so much. It really is a great nailer aside from it being a bit larger and a lot heavier then my Makita 15g pneumatic. Scored big time on the Milwaukee 15g kit my local HD had for $100. If I’m trimming out an entire room or rooms with something more than simple base and/or 1pc crown and casing I’ll set up the air guns otherwise the cordless guns are much more efficient not to mention not needing oil or draining compressors or tripping over hoses and cords.

Have the Ryobi 18v inflator. Use it often when swapping tires on my fatbike. Works very well. Main gripe is no trigger lock and an extremely easy to pull trigger. When transporting you pretty much have to take the battery out. My other grip is the pump head, soon to be swapped out with a bicycle specific one.

•California Air Tools 1 gal quiet air compressor: $79 is available on Amazon for the same price as well as Prime if available if you are signed up for that (which I am). I bought the one from HD and looked after the fact. Oh well. 🙂

I use mine for bikes as well and agree with everything you have said. I have been hesitant to rip out the head for something bicycle specific as I have never modified one of those fabric wrapped hoses before. Can you reply with what head you end up using and how it’s working?
