Delta Woodworking Drill Press Action Shot 18-900L

As we mentioned yesterday, Delta is introducing a brand new drill press designed to offer a complete package of features for woodworkers with ease of use, accuracy, and capacity in mind. It features a patent-pending auto-tensioning belt drive system, full 6-inch quill stroke, and an oversized table. The belt drive system is designed for easy speed changes, and a micro-adjust depth stop with independent depth scale provides high accuracy and repeatability.

The oversized table bevels up to 90 degrees to the left and right, and tilts forward at up to 48 degrees, making compound angles easier to achieve than ever. The table also features T-slots and a removable center for through-table drilling and drum sanding.

Last, a fully adjustable Twinlaser projects a red crosshair on the worksurface and can be easuly fine-tuned to mark the bit center point regardless of table position or thickness of the workpiece.

You can find the Delta 18-900L 18-inch drill press at woodworking dealers for $829, and it is backed by a 5 year warranty.

Finally, rollers on the height adjustment Gear rack. Delta Drill presses have been joke for 10 years. This one looks like it might be a break from the garbage produced since Black and Decker bought Delta.
