Over at Home Depot, they have crazy-good deals on the new Dewalt 20V Max FlexVolt Advantage cordless power tools.
Each tool + 6.0Ah battery and charger kit is just $199.

Dewalt only first announced these new brushless power tools in September of this year, and with bare tools all priced at $199, except for the hammer drill which retails for $179.
Okay, so the bare tools are $179 to $199, a single 6Ah FlexVolt battery retails for $159, and each kit also comes with a charger.
I’m sorry – the circular saw bundle sold out, and while I was watching to see if it would return, the reciprocating saw bundle also sold out.
So, right now only the hammer drill and angle grinder deal bundles are available but check back soon – Home Depot might be getting more in stock, or they might have modified the inventory levels so as to ensure there will be some inventory for Black Friday promotion.
As a reminder, these are 20V Max tools that provide a performance boost when used with a FlexVolt battery.

The times when I wish my tools were more powerful are almost never. If they were pitching a rotohammer maybe i’m interested… I like the bargain, but this line is such a weird marketing gimmick.
Stuart
Ignore the FlexVolt Advantage aspect, and the pricing is still excellent compared to the “regular” 20V Max brushless power tools.
The brushless circular saw, for example, is $279 for the 1-battery kit at Amazon. If/when the HD deal is back in stock, you get a higher capacity battery and lower price, but not tool bag.

This is true… does the 6ah flexvolt mean 324wh or 108wh? I’ve never really looked at flexvolt before
Stuart
20V Max 6Ah
60V Max 2Ah
So 120 Wh (as they rate it)
18V * 6 = 108 Wh nominal
FlexVolt batteries have 15 cells and automatic switching where they go from 5S3P to 15S configuration, depending on whether they’re connected to a Dewalt 20V Max or FlexVolt 60V Max (or 120V Max) power tool.
With these 20V Max FlexVolt Advantage tools, they’re tuned so that you get a performance boost when a FlexVolt battery is attached, but you still have the ability to use Dewalt 20V Max battery packs, as opposed to being locked out as with FlexVolt tools.

And this deal truly does feature the new 6A DCB1106 charger, unlike their other battery bundle deal that was erroneously advertised as containing it, only to actually come with the older 4A DCB115.
Steve L.
I don’t think it comes with the DCB1106 charger or the second generation flexvolt battery. If you look at the angle grinder deal on the HD web sight you will see both the DCB1106 charger and the second generation battery along with the angle grinder in the top thumbnail picture to the left. However, if you look at the second thumbnail photo just below the top one you will see a photo of the DCB115 charger and first generation battery along with wording that states ” kit includes”.
Negative comments from purchasers also complained about receiving the first generation battery instead of the second generation as pictured. It does appear to be misleading from my perspective, however I guess HD could argue the second thumbnail photo clearly states what the kit comes with.

Steve, I bought the hammer drill, it comes with the bare tool DCD999B and a separate battery/charger kit DCB606C.
The aforementioned battery/charger kit comes with a DCB606 battery and the DCB1106 charger. The battery could be either the first gen all black, or the newer yellow top, it all depends on what they have in stock (I got the all black). For what it’s worth the batteries should be internally the same, though I do admit the yellow top looks better and it is a little misleading.

This deal is also available in store.

Can someone confirm or deny that the 20V circular saw has an alloy blade guard or not?
Big Richard
Randy, it does.
