Both retailers are sold out at the moment, but they have more supplies on the way. If past years’ experiences have taught me anything, it’s this – order what you want as soon as you can, while you can. If you wait for supplies to be back in stock, you’ll be waiting a long time.
Is this a good deal? Yes, I think so. At the moment, you can get the drill and impact driver kit at a discounted price via at least one dealer, or if you pay full price you get 2 free bare tools. The bare tool options are good ones too, with premium circular and reciprocating saws (as opposed to less expensive “combo” versions of both) among them.
Both Acme Tools and Tool Nut offer free shipping.

Compare(via Amazon – they don’t seem to be participating in this promo, but they do have a discounted price on the combo kit as of the time of this posting)
There are bound to be some very good deals starting in just a few weeks, but this will be one of the rare deals that lets you get exactly what you want – if the free bonus tools strike your fancy.
You CAN wait to see how things play out – remember, this deal ends on 12/31/18. But, it’s also while supplies last. In past years, supplies of certain tools ran out, sometimes quite fast.
Acme Tools and Tool Nut are friendly retailers, both are affiliate partners, and I have had great personal shopping experiences at both. Other retailers might be offering this or a similar deal, but I haven’t checked yet.
Also Consider…
A few months ago I posted about The Best Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit Right Now, mentioning in that post that the DCK483D2 kit is a good brushless combo kit.
This kit features Dewalt’s compact brushless drill, brushless impact driver (the same one as in the promo kit above), a brushless circular saw, and an LED worklight. It comes with (2) compact 2.0Ah battery packs, which while less than ideal for the circular saw are well matched to the drill and impact.
It’s currently $379.

I know (thanks!!) – that’s a longer writeup that I’m still working on.

Fu** home depot bullshit… ad put for 3 days, shows 7 in stock on their computers, asshats refuse to go find the dewalt combo i want.

Sorry to hear that. Usually the holiday displays are put out after Halloween. It can be difficult to find the promo boxes before then, or they might have instructions not to open anything before a certain time. I have also found that experiences can vary depending on store. I know that at my store, they’ll go hunting for something that their handhelds show in stock, even if it’s up high, and they also did this for me once when a box wasn’t where it was reported to be. I’ve had both similar and different experiences at other stores.

You mad bro?

What boggles my mind is that no one touts the benefits of their brushless cordless flashlights

That’s because we’re not bright enough….

Well, you could do it: battery powers a brushless generator which powers the LED 🙂

Instead of used a brushed generator, of course !

But what about the brushless power brush?
