Dewalt DCS355D1 Cordless Brushless Multi Tool Kit

3 years later, and I still find the Dewalt 20V Max brushless oscillating multi-tool to have the best ergonomics of competing units and other models I’ve tried since.

Right now, at Amazon, it’s priced slightly on sale at $175 – its regular price is $179 – but it’s also eligible for their $25 off $100+ promo, dropping the price to $150.

I would also look at Amazon’s 2 Free Dewalt tools promo, where for $241 currently you can get (2) 5.0Ah battery packs, a charger, the same oscillating multi-tool, and your choice of another tool.

This kit comes with the oscillating tool, a compact 2.0Ah battery pack, charger, some starter accessories, and a tool bag.

The tool-free blade change mechanism works great, but only if you use Dewalt, Rockwell, or other similarly compatible accessories. You can use other brands’ accessories too, but you’ll need to use a hex key.

It offers good power, decent runtime (but use a corded tool or bigger battery for longer jobs), and overall performs quite well.

Amazon reviews are currently exceptionally favorable, with 89% 5-star ratings.

The two larger batteries are a much better deal. You can always sell the other “Free” tool on ebay.

This deal doesn’t work anymore. I guess they’ve sold out of the starter kits.

Still works. The starter kit is still in stock.

You must click on this link:

          https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M19SKOP/?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=toolguyd-20

Otherwise it defaults to showing a 3rd party seller listing. Add the non-Amazon link to the cart and it’ll break the deal.

I took care in how I created the links in the post: https://toolguyd.com/dewalt-cordless-starter-kit-free-tools-deal-h2016/

Bummer, I just bought this set at lowes two weeks ago. For what I’ve used it so far I really like the tool.

Dremel universal blades fit too, also the standard Dremel blade works if one was to cut the entry flanges off with an angle grinder, then take the small size Dremel drum sander (it’s just a bit larger than a Tic Tac) and round out the internal neck a bit. Takes about 90 sec. per blade to modify a fit. As always modifying any tool or accessory voids warranties and can be very dangerous, P.S. the Dewalt multi tool rocks!

I thought I wanted the DeWalt OMT, until I tried the Fein cordless OMT, and all I can say is wow. The Fein is so much nicer, more comfortable, less vibration, etc. I am heavily invested in the 20V DeWalt line, but when there is a better tool I’ll buy it, and the Fein cordless OMT is a much better tool, even if it doesn’t have an LED light. . . . . so I bought it.

I got one of these last year with my nifty toolguyd gift card. Thank you again Stuart.

Anywho – it’s a fantastic tool and I found the 2amp battery did all I ever needed it to do per one job. IE cutting house trim for repair – I did the full day’s rework with just one battery. It’s very comfortable to use and I love having the guide rod .

I used it quite a bit in drywall repairs for cutouts – once I set the depth – and I sat a ruler on the wall I didn’t worry about cutting though anything behind – and I cut a clean straight line.

On the blades I think a few others now make blades that have the notch too. Imperial I think is one of them. not 100% but I know I’ve seen others. I got a dewalt blade pack with my purchase last year and still have them in good shape.

The $241 starter set no longer works with the promotion?

Still works, but price for starter set went back up to $299.

Gotta click those links instead of from promo page that shows 3rd party listings. May be sold by Amazon directly.
