These all look like high prices, let alone high “sale” prices. Why would anyone spend $199 for an impact driver that’s been out for 5 years already? It’s good but has been surpassed by Milwaukee, Makita, and even Metabo-HPT.

      Some of them are good.

Dewalt finish sander is $129 by itself. Here, it’s $129 with a battery.

The finish sander is $115 to $119 at authorized dealers. Here, it’s $179 with a battery – okay, so that’s not a good deal.

The DCH133M2 rotary hammer is $199 for the bare tool, $299 for the kit. $229 isn’t unique to Tool Nut right now, but it’s still a good deal price.

Amazon had the same circular saw deal – https://toolguyd.com/dewalt-brushless-circular-saw-dcs570p1-black-friday-2020-deal/ and it sold out fast.

As for the DCF887, it’s a good impact driver. Sure, it has been surpassed, but by models that usually cost how much more? I don’t know if this deal is particularly compelling to me – I’d rather it was paired with compact 3Ah batteries or 2Ah for less money, but it’s not a bad impact just because it’s older than more recent competing models.

Have to agree here- give the 887 some 2ah’s and make it 149 or below or make those two 5ah’s and the 199 is great.

As for the 887 being antiquated, people still readily buy the brushed 771 drill with no reservation, and job sites around me are flooded with the M18 brushed 2606/2656 drill/impact sets because they take beating and are readily available, even though some FUEL stuff is on Gen 3.

Also consider Joe DIY doesn’t need the top of the line, but might like yellow better than neon green, so they get DeWalt’s GTJD model.
