Almost every year for Black Friday, there’s a Dewalt 20V Max cordless power tool combo kit deal that’s aimed at woodworkers, DIYers, remodelers, and other such users.
This year’s deal is a bit different, and it looks to be a fantastic value.
This Dewalt cordless tool special buy, DCK307D1P1, comes with a cordless router, top-handle jig saw, and random orbit sander, plus a compact 2Ah battery, 5Ah battery, 4-amp charger, and tool bag.

All of the tools feature brushless motors.
The bundle price is as low as $349 – some retailers have it for more.
I should caution you that the Dewalt woodworking combo kits tend to have a short promotional period before they sell out. I don’t think there’s much reason to rush right now, but this type of deal is unlikely to still be available in December.
These are all excellent tools, and it doesn’t look like there are any compromises – you get a good charger and good batteries. The price seems great – I’ll let you guys be the judge.
Price: $349
Once these deals sell out, emails come in asking if or when they’ll come back in stock. I always keep an eye out for them, but they never come back. Once they sell out, they sell out.

There’s also always a chance that the price will soften a bit more for Black Friday. I don’t think that’s likely here, but it can never be ruled out until the deal ends.
What do you think about this combo kit deal?
As an aside, here’s another deal that doesn’t involve a drill or impact driver! I almost feel like I won a treasure hunt.

Stuart – I don’t see the deal you mentioned at the bottom of the post regarding the drill/driver?
Luke H
Disregard. Read it too fast. My bad!

You can save an extra $10 with code “TOOLGUYD”

Yes! One use per customer, recycles every 30 days.

This looks like a great deal to me. If I were in Dewalt tools I’d be ordering it right now. Throw in a simple drill and a Kreg pocket hole jig and there’s not much you couldn’t make!

I’d add a circular saw too, but with the setup you mentioned and the circ saw, that’s pretty much woodshop in a bag/box.

These tools often appear in the “Buy X get a free tool” type of promos but this is a great price for three tools, two batteries, and a mid-tier charger. I’m honestly tempted to pick up one of these even though I don’t use a jigsaw very often and my old corded Dewalt still works great. Perhaps I’ll find more uses for it without the cord hassles?
I also think this would be part of a good strategy for getting started in 20V max tools. If you’re looking for a broad selection of tools to start with then combine this kit with one of the buy-a-starter-kit-get-a-free-tool (or two) deals that’s out now.

$339 (after the TOOLGUYD coupon) is a great price. The 2 batteries included in the kit retail for $238 if you bought them separately from Acme. While not exactly correct – but figured that way you are getting the 3 tools for about $100. I may jump in and buy a set as a gift.
Stuart
Yes, but by the time you’re done, you’ve spent $529 or more for 3 tools and 5 batteries. ($129 for the sander kit, 2x $199 promos for the router and jig saw).
Here, if you want more batteries, you can also take advantage of the $199 + 1 free tool or battery offer now or at a later time.
This isn’t going to be the best deal for everyone. Sometimes the promo changes, with the price increasing but giving you bonus batteries.

I was suggesting what you wrote in your second paragraph. Buy this woodworking kit deal, and supplement it with another offer. Because there’s no drill or impact driver in the woodworking kit it’s ideal to pair with other combos without duplicates.
For example, one might buy this kit and the $299 XR Hammer Drill + Atomic Impact + 1 free tool deal. Now you’ve got two chargers, four batteries, and 6 tools. That’s not a bad starter setup at all for $650, especially when you consider the tool count isn’t being diluted by radios, flashlights, and low-end models as many of the high-tool-count deals tend to be. Another logical thing to add would be an OMT deal of some sort.
Stuart
Ah, I thought you meant instead, because that’s not a bad idea, it’s just a different approach.
fred
I was thinking of it more as a gift for a fellow who has a Dewalt 20V cordless drill – but not much else in the way of cordless power tools. I might add a circular saw to the gift bundle. A bunch of folks have the DCS391B for $99

This deal is apparently over.
Oops, I mean the deal in the original post
Stuart
Sorry – something happened to the link, but I fixed it. (Thank you for the alert!)
It looks like the deal is still valid and working.

I like to see a better set up with the bit holder spring..
