Over at Amazon, they just dropped the price on this Dewalt DW716XPS dual-level 12″ compound miter saw. It features their XPS LED cut positioning system, which casts a shadow of the blade onto your workpiece, showing you exactly where the cut will be, and exactly how wide the kerf will be.
The DW716XPS gives you 6-1/2″ vertical cutting height, and can handle nested crown molding up to 6-5/8″ wide. It can cut dimensional lumber up to 2 x 10’s at 90°, and 45° bevel cuts through dimensional lumber up to 2 x 8.

If this isn’t quite perfect for your needs, check out our other Black Friday 2017 miter saw deal picks, here.
Was: $360
But wait, there’s more! When I first learned about the deal a few hours before it went live, I only saw mention of the miter saw. Now that it’s live, I realized that not only do you get the DW716XPS miter saw for the $249 sale price, you also get a bonus DW3128 miter saw blade, which currently sells for $40-47 on Amazon.
I thought that $249 for the saw was a great deal. But you’re getting the saw and a $40-47 blade for $111 less than the price of the just the saw itself.
Sale Price: $249

This looks to be an incredibly hot deal on a saw that has a lot of very positive user reviews. What do you think, what’s the catch?
If you’ve been looking at 10″ and 12″ non-sliding miter saws, this might be the best Black Friday deal I’ve seen so far!

Over at Lowes they have lowered the price on the Hitachi C12RSH2 a dual bevel sliding compound miter saw to $299
I think I’m gonna pull the trigger on this!
Stuart
That one wasn’t on my radar, but it looks like it’s on sale at Amazon, too.

Great find. Had a DW715 on my list but really wanted the xps version… Much easier to justify at this price.

The XPS is WELL worth the little extra price. One you use it you will hate using saws without it.
Stuart
I absolutely agree with this. I don’t like lasers, but the XPS is almost a must-have.

Yeah I was pretty list for the XPS couldn’t justify the cost bump over the sub-$200 deals that pop up on the 715 this time of year, especially as a homeowner project saw. This is essentialy a no brainer deal for someone who was already going to drop $200ish on a non-sliding 12″ saw this season.

As someone who paid $215 for the dw715, I agree this is an awesome deal. I’ve only had once or twice where I’ve wanted the dual bevel, but the illuminated kerf line would be amazing.

Wish it was the slider. Need a new 12” sliding miter saw.

I picked this up as a second miter saw, thanks!

Thanks for the tip. Great deal on this saw. After selling off my Bosch glide to get the Kapex and then selling the Kapex as I wasn’t too impressed with it (at the $$$ cost), I’ve been left only with my Dewalt 7.25” 20v max slide saw.
I’ve been thinking of picking up the 36v Makita 10” slider considering the 4battery deal, but $249 is easier to justify and I’ve had Dewalt 12” saws before and you can’t beat them for durability and design.
AND, the XPs led light is invaluable, especially when working in a dim corner of a garage or basement.
I’ll be immediately selling both Dewalt blades on CL to bring my final cost down to under $200
