This Dewalt 10-compartment organizer, DWST14825, is on sale again for $10 at Home Depot. This is a once-a-year type of deal that should last a couple of weeks through the holiday season, or as supplies last.
The deal typically goes live for Black Friday, but the sale price kicked in a little early this year, not that I’m complaining.

Update 11/10/2020: Home Depot has now enabled shipping for the organizer, and with no order minimum required! If you don’t see it, check back – that shipping availability been going on and off for a few days, or opt for in-store pickup.
The Dewalt DWST14825 is an extremely popular clear-lid parts organizer, and it’s easy to see why – it has a clear lid, is stackable and latchable, and it has removable bins.
I like Milwaukee’s organizer better. And, I recently ordered more of Milwaukee’s Packout organizers, on sale right now. But, there’s one thing going for this Dewalt organizer – you can’t beat the price point.
$10 per case?! That’s an incredible deal, and reflects a 33% discount compared to the regular price of $15. Some stores are charging more for these cases, up to $25 each.
I might buy a couple more this year. The only thing holding me back is my tendency to need smaller bins and more of them, for organizing smaller parts, components, and fasteners. For for the larger stuff, $10 a bin would be hard to pass up.
- 10 removable bins
- Metal latches
- Clear lid
- Stackable
My store says they have a couple of hundred in stock, but they didn’t put them out yet. If your store is similar, ordering for store pickup might be a convenient option.

If you’re willing to spend more, there are other options with more premium features, such as even tougher construction, a folding handle – which adds more storage space for greater storage density – and a grommet-sealed lid.
Unfortunately, the small profile version of this organizer has become really hard to find. Now, if that one was $10, I’d buy a dozen on the spot, and some plywood to build a quick rack for them. You can certainly do that for these if you have a need for bigger bins.
At the time of this posting, Home Depot’s website is allowing for online orders at the sale price, with store pickup the only option, and with a limit of 2 organizers per order.

It says 200+ in stock at my local store, so I’ll be grabbing a bunch of these. I love the form factor.
fred
We used to buy the Stanley’s (14710) – but these are a step up at the same sale price. When we needed replacements – we’d buy the Stanley’s in bulk to save some money. One of my old inventories said that we spent just over $400 for 50 in 2009 – so 11 years later $10 each for these seems like a darn good price. In 2009 the Stanley’s were made in Israel (probably at Zag – a SBD company).
Popgun42
My store has ZERO and if ordered $26.00.
Popgun42
Correction: My store has it listed 2 times, 1 is $26 and 1 is $10…they have 108 in stock.
Stuart
This is currently a setup period, where not everything will be in-store, or online, or at the the promo price yet.
I went to 3 stores in two days and only saw a few boxes at one of them. The deal pricing went live, but the inventory hasn’t been placed on the sales floor yet. IF it’ll be placed there; I was told items wouldn’t be placed in the aisle where it could cause foot traffic bottle necks.
Doresoom
I bought 3 today in store, couldn’t pass them up. I need to see how I want to organize things in them, but will likely go pick up a bunch more. My local store says 100+ in stock, but only a few were accessible on the shelves.
Bob
I have been trying out several of these type storage bins for behind my new work bench for small parts storage.
So far I like the harbor fright version. The sides of the top on those stick out a bit. Great for making them index into a diy shelf system. I think I paid $13 for them + tax.
The DeWalts are probably better. The ability to latch together is nice. If I can get them to index into some sort of shelf system all the better. They are a winner at $10.
I am going to try one out and buy a bunch if they work out.

I love these bins. I built a shelf for the dozen I already have that fits them under a toolbox. I picked them up for $8.97 a few years back on black friday. I haven’t seen them this cheap since then.
Also, I think it was Benjamen that designed these, but you can 3d print some organizer bins that nest in the bins that come in these containers. It makes them much more useful for smaller stuff. I use them especially in my machine screw and wire nuts/electrical boxes.
razl
I picked up my first 3 a few days back to experiment with and will be getting another 6+ in the next few days.
However, in most cases I’m not using the bins (or few of them) – I’m organizing tools or other larger items in the cases. So I’ve already ended up with about 80% of the little yellow bins stacked up. Does anyone have any handy recommendations on good+clever uses for them? I’d rather not get stuck storing all of them “just in case” but don’t want to toss them in the recycle bin prematurely….
Derek
You can use them in a drawer to organize fasteners or whatever else small enough to fit.
MFC
I use them by screwing them to the wall or bolting them inside tool boxes. Good for holding all manner of hand tools.
And if I need a deeper holder I’ve cut the bottom off of one and slid it into another.

Off Topic: Acme has the Packout large toolbox on sale. Regular price $79.97, sale price $59.97. I think free shipping starts at $199.00.
Stuart
Here’s the link.
They have a new promo too – buy 3 select Packout products, get a free tote bag or dolly.
Several more are on sale.

Are these the ones where the lid only opens to 90 degrees? I bought a few of them last year and while I like them, it also really annoys me that the lid hinge only opens halfway and when I open it in a hurry the lid bounces back down since it stops at 90 degrees. Otherwise they are a steal at 10$.
MT_Noob
I just took a look at why that case only opens to 90 degrees. There are a few tabs on the hinge that keep it from opening fully. So a few minutes with a dremel tool and I got it to open up fully the way I would prefer. Also you may have to shave/scrape off a tiny bit on the other hinge side to make it open smoothly. It doesn’t seem to weaken anything. so I am going to run to my home deport and pick a few up, now that I can customize them to my liking.
mike
Guys,
I’ve bought ’em all over the years and this actual model is the absolute no-brainer for this price!
MFC
Yeah, I always buy a few. Even kids can use them for their miscellaneous stuff.
Frank D
If I did not already have a couple dozen Stanley’s ( regular and slim ) to make my own sortimo system and were not (slowly) switching over to packout slim with 3d upgrades ( Thanks Benjamen! ), I’d probably have bought a dozen of these.
The price is great value.
The benefits of a clear lid and especially removable cups, is indisputable.
Where it failed – when I looked at them back in the day – was they cost more than Stanley and those flimsy plastic side latches. On sale, that can be forgiven.
John804
These are great. Thanks for the post about the deal going live. I have about 10 now and use them for all kinds of things in the garage and the hobby room. They’re plenty durable for just moving around in the garage.
FYI, I think it was Home Depot had the small shallow version of these on sale last year, too. I picked up about 15 for craft supplies in the house.
There are quite a files for few bin dividers and other bin sizes on the thingiverse site if you have a 3d printer.
Bob
Picked up the last one at my local HD. Saw about six boxes of 3 each in the tippity top extra inventory section. Must be reserving for BF? The whole tool area is being reorganized and is a mess right now.
I like the dewalt just slightly better. Plastic inner boxes are nicer. Latches are better. But its slightly wider, taller and deeper than the Harbor Freight ones. Storage space is always at a premium.
Might just come down to which one I can get the most of and the cheapest.
MT_Noob
My home depot didn’t have any on the shelves, so I asked around and they had someone bring a pallet down from storage. It had a sticker on it that said “Put on floor Nov 2” or something like that. So, it might not hurt to ask, they may simply have not got around to putting them out yet.
Bob
Good point. I didn’t even think of that. I just figured they were holding them till Black Friday. Plus, like I mentioned, they’re redoing the whole tool area. They probably just didn’t have enough time to pull some more out of stock. I’m going to ask later today. Hopefully I can score 10 or so.
I do feel bad for these guys. There’s literally hundreds of battery tools that need to be re-organized plus all the stock that goes with that and that’s on top of all the Black Friday and Christmas SKU’s. On the other hand I would bet some workers are happy to cash in on some overtime opportunities. I certainly would be if I was in their shoes. The way Covid things are going they might be shutting down stores/cutting hours.
Bob
Thanks Mt_Noob. Pallet of them out today.
MT_Noob
Awesome to see you got them before they run out. I can only imagine the amount of work the stores are going through to get all the seasonal deals out. I stopped by my store the day after halloween and they had already completed cleared out all the halloween items, and put out all the Christmas stuff and the majority of the special deals were all out on the floor except of course for the organizers. And when I asked about the organizers they went and found some.
LUKE
For a western NY ref. to those interested. I was at HD Monday ( 11/02 ) for supplies. To my surprise they had these organizers out and already at the BF price.?? ! There were two pallets full stacked 4 foot high. I had purchased these before a couple years ago when they were $8.99. So figured to get a couple more when had time and some xtra ching later in week. When got there Friday ( 11-06 ) there was only 8 left. They are definitely not gonna hold up to throwing around the trucks or field, but for the shop they are most excellent. My opinion, that and a buck will get ya a coffee. Pre apologize for grammatical or spelling errors. Peace everyone.
Nathan
Is it wrong I want to buy some of these to store LEGOS
Stuart
Depends on the size of the Legos.
I’ve found that bigger pieces, such as “bricks” are easier to sort from larger bins, and smaller pieces are easier to separate in smaller bins.
This case will do it, but not very ideally.
Bill
Yes, I was about to order some for my grandson to store his Legos, but alas no free shipping.
Tom D
They can work well for smaller parts – but the color can make it hard to see yellow parts. Most of the dedicated storage solutions I’ve seen use the wall-type organizers (the old quintessential screw ones) or tackle-box organizers.
MoogleMan3
Not showing as shippable for me. 🙁
I just got 4, want another 8. These things are amazing. Like I said before, worth it for the bins alone. They’re very thick and heavy duty.
Stuart
Argh. Sorry, it looks to have been turned off again.
I saw it available for shipping, and then it wasn’t. I was hoping that this time it would have been left on for good.
I’d say check back, it might come back again soon – or so I hope so.
MoogleMan3
That’s what I plan to do. They opened up shipping a few days ago for these so I made a couple orders of two. If nothing by the weekend, I’ll probably take a trip out there.
Keep those deal coming! That way I can spend all my money on tools instead of padding my endless steam backlog lol
MoogleMan3
Alright, that does it. I’m gonna grab 8 more, build a drawer unit for the bins for screw storage and use kaizen foam in the cases for tool storage. I’ll 3d print some trays that fit into the bins for smaller items. I’m seriously impressed by these bins.
Fusionman
One thing to note about these is that the bins are a different size than the tough system bins. I had hoped to buy these primarily for the bins so I can grab what I need and transport it in tough system cases.
William Adams
I picked up two of these, and they latch to a slimmer Stanley FatMax organizer I’d bought previously.
Agree that the Stanley latches are easier, and similarly puzzle over what to do with all the inserts and how to best put them to use.
Josh
I’ve bought 10 already in-store and I’m thinking about getting more of them. So far it seems they’re exceptional for middle to large amounts of commonly-used things, but not necessarily as good for sorting a wide assortment of things as something like the Harbor Freight or Sortimo boxes would be.
I like them, but I’d like them even more if I could get the shallow version or one with divided bins for this price
Don
I picked up 3 in my local Home Depot. Great deal and something I needed. Thanks for the post.
Richard C.
Tried to checkout but HD have 2 limit and $9 shipping 🤷♂️
Stuart
Sorry, they’ve been going back and forth between enabling and disabling shipping to home. The $8.99 is there “express” delivery that has a store driver bring it out to you. I’d say check back or consider opting for in-store pickup.
gwiz
No shipping available here yet. 70 still at store
Jason S.
I have one of the Milwaukee parts organizers and I love it also. Question – why do you prefer the Milwaukee case over this Dewalt option? I like the price point of the Dewalt case.
Stuart
More storage density, better feel to it.
For the money right now, you can’t beat Dewalt’s. But when the Dewalt is regularly priced and Milwaukee on sale, the Milwaukee is hands-down the better buy.
Steve
I impulse bought one of these tonight, don’t have a need for it at the moment, but for the price I decided having one around for future needs was justifiable.
Stuart
For a $10 organizer? That’s not a bad idea. I can’t tell you how many times I decided against a deal only to have to pay full price a week, month, or couple of months later.
Sometimes I do overspend on things I think I might need over the next year, which is why I have a surplus of power tool accessories. But I weigh certain deals – how much will I waste if I buy that now, vs. how much will I save if I buy it instead of full price before the next time the same deal comes around?
Jason
As of this morning (11/17/20) these are now listed at $14.97 and not sold in stores.
Stuart
Hmm. I see that too.
The Black Friday ad has them for $10. This price hike could just be temporary – the last I checked, there were still hundreds in stock near my zip code.
