Over at Amazon, they have the Dewalt DCB1800B Portable Power Station on sale for $230, which is the lowest price I have ever seen it at.
The next-lowest price I’d ever seen it at was $249, back when I discussed my continued affinity for the power station.

I’ve seen the new T1 kit at around $400 at HD.
Nathan
nice. Don’t you have to use at least 1 flexvolt battery with it?
Corey
Do not believe so
John
Dewalt Rep told me that you do. Must = 120V

Wonder if it’s true
Stuart
Your Dewalt rep is mistaken.
FlexVolt battery packs are used in 20V Max mode. The FlexVolt 60V Max interface is not downwards-compatible with 20V Max. And so if FlexVolt batteries were connected in 60V Max mode, this would have to be a FlexVolt-only product, because 20V Max batteries would not be physically connectable. But it’s not.
Although it doesn’t explicitly mention this in the user manual, all of Dewalt’s product pages and descriptions describe this as a 20V Max product.
You *can* use FlexVolt batteries, but you don’t have to.
It needs (4) batteries, and higher capacity battery packs are recommended, meaning you wouldn’t want to use 1.5Ah or 2.0Ah batteries with it.
Stuart
No. You can use any combination of 20V Max and FlexVolt battery packs. (4) 20V Max battery packs work just fine.
Joe
All you gain is runtime with higher amp packs,,any 4 batteries 20v OR 60v OR both..there is a new one coming or so it’s talked about

I got one for 100 bucks. I walked into homedepot and there was a cart full of stuff that they were clearing out. I ask the guy if they were getting rid of all of that he said yep if you want something name your price.
Travis
I picked one up at fleet farm and I only payed $200

I have it and love it. Live out here near the Ventura fires. Power went off the first night. Plugged the refrigerator into it with 3 mixed 20v max batteries (4 AH and 5 AH) and one Flexvolt. They were in various states of charge. Ran the fridge for 3 hours while I had it making ice left and right. Once the lowest battery drops too low it shuts down. I swapped the two lowest out with some 3AH batteries and ran my CPAP machine (instead of the fridge) the rest of the night. Come morning, everything was fine. So yes, I honestly love it. Up until then, it was just a nice 4 battery charger that everyone could find a spare battery when needed. But as a noiseless, fumeless “generator” it really made me smile.

So wish there was an EU/UK version available……….

The question no one is answering is Why Are all these Stores getting Rid of this Dewalt Power Station.
Are they going to dump the Tool from their line, Is there a better Model coming? Does this not perform and hold up to most long term use?? Just seems strange all these stores are getting rid of them?
RF
No idea, but I hope there is a new model.
A true sine wave version would be much better for sensitive electronics.
Dave
It would be great if a new one was coming with fast charger capabilities on all 4 ports. Just hypothesizing / wishing.
Stuart
That should be possible. But how much more money are you willing to spend for that?
Roger
Dam.. Just bought it at $449last week… Oh well. I’ll catch something else later down.
Ryan
That’s why you keep receipts. Return, re-buy.
Nathan
I keep hearing there is a new model but if it’s like other dewalt stuffs – I bet this model is still around for a little while at a reduced price. which is a good thing as I want one.
Also thanks for the answers above and that commentary about using it on a fridge. I don’t want true sine wave – as it will cost significantly more – and is only really beneficial for sensitive electronics that I wouldn’t want to run on this. Others make a pure sine and pure DC power bank device that I would use on those products. ANKER comes to mind. IE I wouldn’t run a bluray player on this thing. I would run a sawzall.

Some America based muppet is trying to sell in Australia for $718 (Approx US$554)

If you’re willing to call Lowes and order it online and have the Lowe’s credit card they will match the price and take an additional 5% off. Or if you order through CPO Outlets who is the one actually selling it at the two 229 price, then you can get free shipping and no tax. If you’re uncertain if you will use the generator or if it will meet your expectations Lowes is a good way to go because you can return it within 3 months.

Just got mine today ordered it because i seen this on here so thanks toolguyd but have a little issue wondering if anyone has had this happen. Stuart
Was one of the batteries particularly low on charge? Did you try something else, like a corded power tool of some kind? Does the heater work when you plug it into a wall outlet?
cory
all of them had 2 lights or more didnt see anything in manual saying they had to be fully charged. yea tired a couple other things they worked but the heater wont work at all now
Jason
