Dewalt PowerStack XR 5Ah Battery

Amazon has some great discounts on some premium Dewalt 20V Max tools and batteries right now, including the PowerStack 5Ah battery and starter kit.

This is surprising, but definitely welcome, and all of the deals I’m seeing are sold and shipped directly from Amazon and not 3rd party sellers, at least at the time of this posting.

Let’s start with the Dewalt PowerStack 5Ah battery. Right now, you can get the 2-pack for $299, which is around its normal price.

But Amazon also has the Dewalt 20V Max PowerStack 5Ah battery, with pouch cells, for $99 right now. That’s a lot better, and means you can get (2) batteries for $198 rather than $299.

They also have the starter kit, with Dewalt 20V Max charger and a 5Ah battery, for $99. This is an even better value, as it gives you more for no additional money.

While the price isn’t as good as Lowe’s recent clearance, you don’t have to go running around to different stores.

Dewalt DCD1007WW1 20V Max Cordless Hammer Drill Kit

Amazon still has excellent pricing on Dewalt’s best cordless drill kit, which features their top of the line DCD1007 hammer drill, a fast charger, and PowerPack tabless cell 8Ah battery for $231.68, which is quite far off from its regular price of $349.

Home Depot has it for $349 right now, Acme Tools has it discounted to $299, and Lowe’s has it at $349 with a free bonus PowerPack 8Ah battery. Amazon’s current price of $231.68 seems like a great deal and a good bargain.

Dewalt DCS590WW1 Cordless Circular Saw Kit with PowerPack Battery

Amazon also has this Dewalt XR circular saw kit with fast charger and PowerPack battery for $299 as a “limited time deal.”

Home Depot also has it for $299, and I see the same pricing at Acme Tools. Lowe’s has the same kit at its regular price of $349, but as with the drill kit they give you a second bonus 8Ah battery.

I’d likely go with Amazon’s discounted price for the deal kit, but for the circular saw kit the extra battery seems worth it for just $50 more.

Either of the Lowe’s deals with two batteries is mighty tempting.

Lowe’s has surprisingly good deals this season.

Amazon had this deal towards the beginning of the year (2025), but I would probably not buy this again. The battery and charger I received had a production date of 2022. That may not seem like much of a problem to most, however, I had THREE charge cycles before the battery went flat. Nothing. Completely dead. I thought, “Okay, I have a warranty and I’ve only had this battery about six weeks”. The warranty is about as useful as Hyundai and Kia warranties are.
Both Amazon and Dewalt were completely useless and would not help me with this, and since this was purchased through my high school’s account, I had no recourse like I would have with a credit card company had this been purchased through my personal account. I will stick with TTI power tools. No more yellow for me.
    Check dates. Buyer beware.

TTI would have done the same thing, especially if bought on amazon. DeWalt’s 3 year warranty is based of the purchase date from an authorized vendor, OR the battery’s production date if you do not have a proof of purchase. If you bought from amazon, it is very possible you bought from a non-authorized third party vendor.

I have had to warranty one battery of the dozens I have. I sent them an email with pictures of the battery and my receipt from HD of the kit it came in. They sent a new battery in about 3 days.

As usual, Canadians are getting shafted. The price of the starter kit is $200 Cdn ~ $145 USD.
