Dewalt ToughSystem Tool Storage SystemIn addition to their new tote/tool case, Dewalt is coming out with a modular tool storage system called the Tough System. Initially, there will be three sizes available, as well as a carrier cart.

The Dewalt Tough System cases are constructed from 4mm structural foam and look to be vying for a piece of the Tanos & Festool Systainer and Bosch L-Boxx market.

The smallest case, DWST08201, is sized for small power tool storage and transport, and has no less than 4 carrying handles. The mid-size unit, DWST08203, is sized perfectly for larger power tools, and also includes a deep removable tray. Finally, the largest unit, DWST08204, is sized to hold power tool kits, and features removable vertical compartments for convenient hand tool storage.

All three units can be attached to the new carrier cart DWST08210, which has a 260 lb load capacity.

Here are a few reasons why I am extremely excited to get my hands on these storage and transport containers:

  1. Seemingly indestructible construction
  2. Insanely strong and durable-feeling latches
  3. Integrated water/weather seal
  4. Units can be stacked together and locked to each other

Expect to see these new cases hit the streets in July. From smallest to largest, the DWST08201, DWST08203, and DWST08204 cases will cost $45, $55, and $65. The carrier, DWST08210, will cost $160.

Awesome reviews on this site Stuey, just ordered one of each case on Amazon. I wish i could located the mounting brackets that Mr. Yellow used so i could fabricate a rack for my pickup truck & garage.
