Every now and then, I come across the need to attach one object to another using double sided tape or mounting tape. But there are times when nothing quite works well – the double sided Scotch transparent tape is too thin or weak and mounting tape is too thick or narrow. What I end up doing is rolling a piece of duct tape over itself into a loop, but the fit is sometimes a bit sloppy.
Browsing around Amazon to see if there are any new designs to replace my almost-gone plaid tape (it works great as a quick luggage identifier at the airport), I came across this (new?) double sided Duck duct tape. DOUBLE SIDED DUCT TAPE!

While carpet tape might usually suffice in a pinch, this tape should have a less permanent and more easily removed adhesive, as supported by the suggested use for temporary mounting applications.
Is it wrong for me to be excited over finding out about double sided duct tape? Maybe, but as one should always use the right tool for the job, it is important to use the right tapes and adhesives whenever possible.

This is a much, much needed product! However, I’m trying to figure out a proper way of storing this sort of thing without everything sticking to it.

A removable plastic liner prevents contamination of the tape’s top side.
