So… you love your Fein MultiMaster oscillating multi-tool, but there are times when its power cord slows you down. Did you know that there’s a cordless MultiMaster that is said to have a high torque motor with performance identical to the corded version?
Fein’s AFMM 14 cordless MultiMaster is powered by their 14.4V Li-ion battery packs and features a tool-free blade change mechanism, electronic speed control, soft grip zones for comfort and handling control, and a built-in battery fuel gauge.

Oh, but you already have all the accessories you need? Fein’s 71900561090 Professional Renovation Set is a money-saving combo kit that includes the cordless MultiMaster, their ASB14 hammer drill/driver, (2) 4.0Ah battery packs, a charger, and carrying case, for $399.
When purchased separately, the ASB14 hammer drill kit is priced at $250 (via Amazon).
At $399, this combo is a stellar value, but you’ll have to buy your oscillating multi-tool accessories separately. You could pick up Fein Multi-Mount accessories a la carte, and there are also plenty of other brands that offer Fein-compatible accessories.

If you’re looking for a cordless oscillating multi-tool but cannot quite justify $399 or $499 for a Fein kit, check out our Best Oscillating Tool Recommendations. Of the oscillating multi-tools we’ve tried, which does not include the Fein discussed here, the Bosch MXH180BL was the overall best, the Dewalt DCS355 had the best ergonomics, and the Milwaukee M18 2626 was great all-around and offered the best value.

Fein had been our favorite (for residential and commercial office jobs) vacuum brand for years – based on sound level and performance.

I own the 3amp Bosch tool. I own a battery powered one as well but it just does not keep up. I have found so many unique uses for this tool. I do not know what I would do w/out it!

Concerning Fein cordless oscillating tools: Can someone tell me if the Fein oscillating tool-afmm 14 multimate – that is sold together with a drill in the “professional renovation set” is the identical machine as the Fein afmm 14 multimaster that is sold separately. Why is the first so much less money?
