Fein Multi-Mount E-Cut Oscillating Tool Blades

Fein has come out with a new line of Multi-Mount oscillating multi-tool blades that can be used with Fein, Bosch, Milwaukee, Ridgid, Makita, and Skil oscillating tools without an adapter. Other brands’ tools that can work with Bosch’s OIS accessories with or without an adapter should work with Fein’s Multi-Mount blades as well.

The new blades feature Fein’s traditional MultiMaster 8-lobe star pattern and Bosch’s OIS 12-hole pattern around it.

Fein has been in the oscillating tool business for quite some time, and their blades are typically exceptionally long-lasting. Promotional information for the blades claims that with the new blades you will see up to 2x the performance from competitor’s tools, as they make your tool work up to two times faster.

Thus far we don’t have much information about pricing or availability, but have been told that a (3) 160 E-Cut blade set will be priced at $45. In comparison, the Fein-specific blade 3-pack has a street price of about $36.

Right now it looks like only Fein’s E-Cut saw blades are receiving the multi-mount treatment.

Hesitation: Looking at the new E-Cut long-life saw blade with Multi-Mounting feature, the model number is given as 6 35 02 160 01 0. But if you search for this model number, the old style Fein-specific blade comes up in online catalogs. We asked about this 2 weeks ago but haven’t yet heard back from Fein. Because of this, these new blades are probably best purchased in-store if/where you can find them, unless/until distributors and dealers update their product descriptions and images.

These blades are made in Germany.
