I also get regular emails from Fluke – and was thinking about one of their nice thermal imaging devices – but find it hard to justify for a retired guy.
At about the same time as the Fluke email popped into my inbox – I also got one from Felder – and while I bought some of their equipment in the past for my business – their nice Christmas sale still makes them beyond my home shop needs – but still nice to look and wish:

I came across the promo while browsing their site for product specs, although I might have received notice via email as well.

Regarding a thermal imaging camera, I ordered an E4 last night (https://toolguyd.com/flir-ex-series-thermal-imaging-cameras/). There are details about how to modify a configuration file to unlock higher resolution capabilities.

While higher-priced thermal imaging cameras are fantastic, I’m hoping that the modification still works and that I can live with the software limitations and specs of the E4. Even if the modification no longer works, the E4 with its MSX enhancement should still yield decent results.
