I applied for the free sample and received it awhile back, and completely forgot about posting a note on here as a “thank you” for the heads-up.

The Stanley carbide blade is pretty nifty. It has a different look to it, I suppose because of the tungsten carbide applied to the edge, which gives it a slightly different coloration there. As for performance, I did notice that it wasn’t quite as sharp right out of the package compared to other cheaper blades. Not by much, but the difference in resistance was noticeable.

The blade feels quite a bit stiffer than a standard razor, which is a feature that I happen to like. I am impressed so far as to how it has maintained about the same level of sharpness with use, and I really don’t think it would be very easy to chip this blade so long as you were actually using it to cut things (as opposed to inappropriate use). If the price was right, I would definitely buy a pack of these.
