Thanks, went ahead and ordered a set. I’d been debating upgrading the surprisingly durable but not very comfortable or varied HF screwdrivers I’ve had for 10 years. This one fit the bill and didn’t break the bank.

Since the 239pc set is a deal of the day, and Amazon advertises free returns on this product, you could always buy it, keep it unopened, and return it if you change your mind and find something better.

If he only needs sockets, there are better deals on 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drove sockets misted above. There are 2 sets, a 6 and a 12 point set. Those have more sockets and include shallow, mid-deep and deep well sockets. You don’t get the mid-deep in the kit with the 3 drawers.

The other day they advertised a Fein OMT, but only showed an angle grinder on sale. Making things worse, they advertised it the following “goes well together” bundle pairings: a Worx battery, a cutting wheel for a different size of grinder, and a Rockwell OMT.

How do we feel about the 5” Pliers wrench as a portable EDC type gateway drug/first pliers wrench? It’s a low priced for sure. The 4” seems even more portable though slightly less capable, the 7.5” seems much more capable but less pocketable. By all accounts it’s sounds like the 10” belongs in my tool bag. I’ve avoided buying any because I’m afraid I’ll buy them all, but right now I’m looking to supplement a Leatherman Wave with something better for hex fasteners.

The 5″ Pliers Wrench is fantastic, it’s easily in the top 5 of my most commonly used tools. I can’t recommend them enough, I have given several as gifts.
Your assessment is spot-on: In my opinion the 4″ is nice but it’s not all that capable. The 5″ is more capable but it’s still small enough to just drop in a pocket.
