Gearwrench Ratcheting Screwdriver Set

Sears is currently running a 50%-off Gearwrench tool set sale and a 10%-off all tools under $299 sale. What this means is that the $35 Gearwrench 56pc ratcheting screwdriver set is currently on sale for just $15.74.

In-store pickup is free. Spend more than $49 on non-oversized items sold directly by Sears and your order ships for free.

We bought one of these sets a while back. While not a perfect system the ratcheting handles are comfortable to use and we’ve never had issue with any of the handles, shafts, or bits. It’s a great buy at under $20.

It looks like the extra 10%-off ends today (9/1/12), but the 50%-off sale might last all weekend through Labor Day.

    Made in China, or Taiwan?

I’m not sure. I believe my set is made in Taiwan, but I can’t find it at the moment and there’s no guarantee the new sets are made at the same factory.

I bought one of these on Friday along with the stubby ratcheting wrenches. COO for this set was Taiwan for mine.

I’ve missed this Gearwrench sale the last three times it’s gone on, their new scheme of all one-day sales sucks.

Shucks! I missed it! I have this set, use it often, and I’ve been looking to get a 2nd. Will keep looking I guess.
