Gearwrench Roto Ratchet Set on Sale

Gearwrench Roto Ratchets

Over at Amazon, this Gearwrench Roto Ratchet set is on sale for $30 with free shipping. These ratchets feature non-locking rotating heads that can swing a full 180°. An adjustment screw allows you to dial in the friction if you prefer a stiffer rotation.

I have a set of these ratchets, and they often come in handy when I’m driving long or larger fasteners and need greater torque than can be applied using an ordinary screwdriver. First, the ratchet head is set inline so the ratchet can be spun like a screwdriver, and for final tightening it’s rotated to the normal 90° position. The reverse sequence can be used for fastener removal.

The set includes 1/4″ and 3/8″ ratchets, both which have comfortable cushion grips.

Buy Now(via Amazon)

This deal was found by using our Amazon deals search tool. While the discount is not really “67%” since the list price is bogus, $30 is still lower than the $45-60 street price.

P.S. If you haven’t already entered our Gearwrench 120XP ratchet giveaway, you have until 12/31/12 to do so.

Noticed this one is also on sale at Sears for the same price. Also you have the option for store pickup..

But Sears adds sales tax. And any serious tool buyer will have Amazon Prime for free shipping. 🙂

Amazon adds sales tax too – eg. if shipped to NY

For a few states, sure, but Sears is all states to the best of my knowledge.

Ahh I remember it like yesterday. The good ol days when amazon didnt charge sales tax in my state. The change happened months ago in my state and I now view them a whole lot differently. If you live in a state where amazon doesnt charge a sales tax, do not take it for granted.

I have a 1/2″ & 3/8″ Kobalt versions of these from a few years back. They help get into some tight spots.

Some of the older Kobalt hand tools were made by Danaher – so it would not be surprising if the lked a bit like the Gerawrench product ( also made for Danaher)

Yep. Only the grip on the Kobalt version was different. Personally, I prefer the round grip of the Gearwrench versions vs. the boxy one of the Kobalts.

Thanks for the heads up. I should be getting my roto ratchets pretty soon. I’ve purchased most of my tools on sale thanks to your website.
