Amazon Gerber Tool Deals of the Day 11-26-2020

Of course, I wrapped up my Amazon Thanksgiving Day tool deals post, after not seeing any lightning deals, deals of the day, doorbusters, or any such deals. But now, a new one popped up, featuring several Gerber deals of the day.

A couple of readers were disappointed that the Dime sold out fast when we last posted about it last week, and so I made sure to cover it again this time around. hopefully they don’t sell out as fast this time around.

Gerber 30-000469 Dime Mini Multi-Tool, Black: $12.71
Gerber Dime Multi-Tool, Green: $15.83
Gerber Suspension Multi-Plier: $20.00 – FANTASTIC PRICE!
Gerber Paraframe I Knife: $15.49

I’ve had great experiences with Gerber tools.

Here, the Suspension is a decent entry-priced multi-tool, and I suppose I could consider it my gateway tool. I bought one on sale for $25, if I remember correctly, and it helped me learn about what I liked and didn’t like in a multi-tool. Even after upgrading to a pricier Leatherman, I kept it in my lab drawer and continued to use it somewhat regularly.

The Dimes are decent keychain-sized multi-tools, and the Paraframe I is a decent knife. I don’t like the larger Paraframe II, due to issues with the lock being too stiff that I never resolved, but this one never gave me trouble.

Thank you – I’ve never really tried a gerber tool (Gerber is for babies and baby food!) but at $13 who can object? Worst case it’ll go in a drawer or a stocking.

Had been using the Paraframe mini for years and loved it! Generally I have been very happy with Gerber knives so I purchased the Paraframe regular size but honestly don’t remember whether I have the I or II VERSION? I definitely don’t like it as it’s impossible to open one handed with the thumb stud! It is placed improperly and just bad engineering IMO! I would love the Paraframe with the Tanto blade but never purchased because of the one handed opening issue with the regular knife.

Sounds like the II. The II is a little larger, and something made mine similarly inconvenient and unusable.

Back in the day, Gerber Legendary Blades made a superior, quality product.

Joe Gerber employed designers such as Bob Loveless, Blackie Collins, Bill Harsey, Rick Hinderer, Ernest Emerson, Pete Kershaw and Al Mar. The Al Mar designed Silver Knight series introduced custom level fit and finish to production pocket knives.

Since the Fiskars takeover, Gerber quality has taken a nosedive. The Gerber name now means something destined for the junk drawer.

Looking at the Amazon page for the Gerber 30-000469 and the prices now range from $40-$45.
