Campbell Hausfeld 12V RP3300 Inflator

We first previewed this Campbell Hausfeld 12V inflator when it came out last fall, and recently received one for hands-on review. The inflator is designed to be as quick and easy to use as possible, and it does not disappoint. That’s why we’ve given this inflator “gift guide” status.

To use the inflator, plug the power adapter into your vehicle’s 12V port, pull out the attached hose, set the desired pressure, and push the big red button. The inflator turns off automatically.

I did have one minor qualm – its gauge seemed to be slightly off, but consistently so. In order for both my tire gauge and vehicle’s tire pressure monitoring system to read 35psi, the inflator had to be set to 37 psi. This is a minor qualm since it’s easy to compensate for and because 1-2 psi will hardly make a real-world difference. For the full review, we’re checking to see if the slight inaccuracy is repeatable or a one-time thing.

The price of the inflator is a bit steep at $80, but I’ve found it to be more compact and user friendly than cheaper models.
