This is a Good Hands-Free Soap Dispenser

Simple Human Hands-Free Soap Dispenser

I bought a couple of the Simple Human hands-free liquid soap dispensers over the years and have really come to appreciate its convenience for hand cleaning.

I’ve used a bunch of different hand cleaners, including gels, scrubs, and wipes. Sometimes I need something stronger for a good scrub or thick grease.

But for most things, I walk inside to the closest sink and this is what I use.

They make rechargeable models. This one takes 4x AA batteries. It doesn’t work perfectly well with NiMH cells, due to the lower voltage, so I mainly use it with alkaline AA batteries.

I had a problem with one last year. Simple Human replaced it without much hassle.

I bought another one about a month ago. It’s something I use all the time, and it’s made cleaning up after work a bit easier.

We fill it with… I don’t know, whatever liquid soap refill my wife likes to buy. But you can also buy refills from Simple Human.

It looks like the rechargeable version is a bit more popular on Amazon. I like what I’m used to, but there are many other brands, sizes, and styles if you want something fancier or less expensive.

Price: ~$51

Yes, they make pump dispensers with Fast Orange, Gojo, and others. I also still have walnut shell hand cleaner somewhere.

I try to use disposable gloves when I’m working in deep gunk, and hand wipes other times. You can’t fill these dispensers with a scrubbing degreaser, so maybe keep some of that around too for heavier duty hand cleaning.

Cool. My partner would love this.

For heavier duty hand cleaning, I usually rub my hands with vegetable oil to grab the fine muck, and then follow with 1-2 passes of liquid hand soap to grab the oil. This has been much gentler on my hands, and my tub of gojo is now almost 20 years old.

I bought several Better Human models on clearance at Home Depot last year for $15 a piece. For as much as I wash my hands, I absolutely love it.

I’ve had a pair of this exact model for well over ten years. I’ve only used them with 4xAA alkaline batteries as well. Walmart Equate clear fragrance free soap is my go to as it works well and is inexpensive.
Unfortunately over time the chrome finish degrades gets spotty and starts turning green. Fortunately once it starts, it doesn’t get worse very quickly. I think they have plating thickness issues so I hope you all get a good one!

I’ve been using this one from Amazon for 6 years and still going strong. I use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries and they last forever.
