I noticed this morning that the Micro Jig Grr-Ripper models GR-100 (pictured above) and GR-200 are on sale. Normally they run $60 and $80 respectively, but for now the GR-100 is discounted to $49 and the GR-200 is reduced to $69.
This isn’t the lowest price I’ve seen them, but this time the deal seems to be running at several different retailers: Rockler, Woodcraft, Woodpeckers, etc…
I purchased the GR-200 a while ago. For most operations, an ordinary push block suffices, but there are times when the ability to constrain the work piece in several directions at once, while still keeping your fingers out of harms way, is really handy.
The once thing I have noticed is that having only one Grr-Ripper doesn’t work well when you are ripping a long board on the table saw. That’s why I’m going to pick up another one using this deal. I’m going to purchase the GR-100 this time because I’ve never personally found a reason to use all the extra accessories.
