If you’re looking for the best Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless power tool deals for Black Friday 2022, start here.
As usual, Home Depot has some of the best cordless deals for Black Friday. I wrote about these and more in my Home Depot Black Friday 2022 Tool Deals Guide, but the M18 Fuel deals are important enough to discuss separately.
There are 3 promo tiers:

Milwaukee M18 FUEL 4-Tool Combo Kit + 2 FREE Tools β $599
All of the deals mentioned here are LIVE now.
Buy this Milwaukee M18 Starter Kit, Get 1 FREE Tool

This is one of the most popular deals every year, whether you’re a DIYer, PRO, or in between.
In addition to being a great value, this is one of the few Black Friday cordless power tool deals that doesn’t add another cordless drill to your collection.
The starter kit comes with an M18/M12 charger and 2x XC 5.0Ah batteries.
The “FREE gift with purchase” tool selection is broad and includes M18 tools and accessories, as well as popular M18 FUEL brushless tools.

Most – but not all – of the free bonus tool options are M18 FUEL tools.
Here are the M18 FUEL tools you could choose from: SURGE quiet impact driver, top-handle jig saw, Hackzall reciprocating saw, drywall screwdriver, compact router, paddle switch angle grinder, and a cordless blower.
Additional options include the M18 tire inflator, dual-port Rapid Charger, Gen-2 Rover LED worklight, and a 5Ah battery.
Price: $199
Buy this Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2-Tool Combo Kit, Get 1 FREE Tool

With this mid-tier deal, buy the Milwaukee M18 FUEL cordless hammer drill and impact driver combo kit, and you can choose 1 free tool or accessory to add to it.
This is the latest M18 FUEL combo kit, featuring Milwaukee’s 4th generation premium brushless hammer drill and impact driver. You can read more about them in my Pipeline 2022 roundup.
The hammer drill is said to be the industry’s most powerful and most compact in its class, and it features “the best-reacting anti-kickback control on the market.” It’s a significant upgrade over previous generation models.
The impact has also been upgraded, and is said to be the industry’s most powerful and most compact, with the fastest driving speeds and greater thermal capabilities.
You can typically buy this combo kit for $399. With this deal, you get the hammer drill, impact driver, a charger, carrying case, and 2x 5Ah batteries, plus one free bonus tool of your choosing.
Price: $399
Buy this Milwaukee M18 FUEL 4-Tool Combo Kit, Get 2 FREE Tools

This deal features a new Milwaukee M18 FUEL combo kit, model 3698-24MT, which comes with the latest hammer drill, the latest impact driver, a brushless oscillating multi-tool, and an LED flashlight. It also comes with a carrying bag, M18/M12 charger, a compact 3Ah battery, and an XC 6Ah battery.
The oscillating multi-tool is Milwaukee’s excellent-performing M18 FUEL model, 2836, and it’s typically priced at $229 in tool-only configuration.
Instead of 2x 5Ah batteries as with the 2-tool combo kit, you get 2 High Output batteries, one with a lower capacity (3Ah), and one with a higher capacity (6Ah).
As Milwaukee M18 HO batteries can deliver greater power, the CP 3Ah battery should deliver the same power as an XC 5Ah battery, but with lower runtime, and the XC 6Ah battery should be able to drive heavier duty tools than an XC 5Ah battery.
If all this battery talk makes your head spin, read this: Milwaukee M18 Cordless Power Tool Battery Sizes Explained.
All this is to say that I consider the battery configuration you get here to be a step-up compared to the 2pc combo kit.
You get a slight bump up in battery value (but slightly less total charge capacity), and a great brushless oscillating multi-tool. Oh, and there’s a flashlight too. Is all that worth the $200 difference between the 2pc combo kit and this one? I think so.
AND you also get TWO FREE TOOLS, not just one.
Price: $599
Tips and Reminders
1) These M18 deals have an end-date of 1/29/23, according to Home Depot’s website.
2) Other brands have different offers – see the link below to check them out.
3) Supplies can sell out early, especially for the most popular free tool selections. If what you want sells out, check back, as inventories are sometimes replenished mid-season.
4) If you decide to wait to see if a better deal comes along, keep an eye on inventory levels. Keep in mind that Home Depot has a generous return policy, in case you have buyer’s remorse, but nothing can be done if you wait too long and the deal you want has sold out.
Which is the Best Vaue?
Many people ask me the same question every year. Which is the best Milwaukee M18 FUEL cordless power tool deal for Black Friday?
Answer: All of them; these are the best FUEL deals!
Consider the M18 FUEL jig saw, for example. It’s priced at $199 for just the tool-only, or $299 for the 1-battery kit.
With the starter kit deal, you’re essentially building your own 2-battery kit for the same price as the tool-only.
The cordless router is also priced at $199 for just the tool-only.
The starter kit deal tends to be hugely popular for users looking to pick up just a new tool, or new tools and a lot of fresh batteries.
The 2pc combo kit is a good value, as you are essentially buying the hammer drill and impact driver kit at its regular price, and getting a bonus tool that’s valued at up to $199.
If you only want the new hammer and drill and impact combo, and don’t want any of the free bonus tools, go for the bonus 5Ah battery.
The 4pc combo costs more – $599 is a fair bit of coin – but you get an oscillating multi-tool ($229 for tool-only), an LED flashlight, and a second free bonus tool (valued at up to $199).
Is this the year you’re splurging on new Milwaukee M18 FUEL tools?
Need Something Else?
I spend a lot of time researching and sorting through tool deals every year ahead of Black Friday. I’ll be adding more deal guides as we get closer to Thanksgiving.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for other M18 FUEL deals, such as on nailers, saws, and other tools not included in this promo. Please let me know if you have any requests, and I’ll add it to my watchlist!

Argh!! Thanks, *fixed*
I proofread once more just to be sure, and patted myself on the back for catching a stray typo I missed the first time.
Bblanco
I haven’t seen you post it yet, but the FUEL 15ga nailer is $239 right now in store only. It was in the black Friday flyer that came in the newspaper. I bought one on Thursday. Their online site shows $299 still.

Thanks! There’s a lot to cover – I’ve been combing over my local stores but don’t think I’ve seen that yet.

Stuart –
β¦paddle switch angle grinder, cordless blower, and a cordless blower.
This is located under the $199 deal where you are listing the items from which one may choose.

Thanks, *fixed*!

Anyone know if the battery free tool deal is hackable to return the batteries for half price?
Andrew
I will be looking into this. I just ordered the 2 5.0 kit and a free 1/4 sheet sander. Sander in the cart was $85 and the bat kit was $115. However, I put the bat kit in my cart again and added the blower as the freebie and it showed the blower at $95 and the batts at $105. Just something to think about. I have taken advantage of returning free items in the past and it has always worked. Not sure on this round yet.
Stuart
Instead of adding items back and forth to your cart, try this: https://toolguyd.com/free-cordless-power-tool-deals-value-calculator/
I built it specifically for comparing effective discounts across different deals, but use it you’d like.
Mike
I used the 2 5.0 battery hack to get a tool-only Surge drill for $100 out the door. Did similar for the m12 Fuel 3rd gen drill / impact combo with the bonus 2.5ho battery. Just buy both, then edit order and cancel the part you don’t want. Seems to only work with pickup in-store option for me.
AP
I bought the batteries with a D-Handle jigsaw. Found out I was getting it for Christmas. They cancelled my free gift and are sending me the batteries. Now I’ll have to print out a tag and drop it off. Who cares? I’m so blessed that I’m getting it anyways ( it’s a surprise ) and I’m thinking of doing the offer with a different tool. Thanks for your hard work, I appreciate it!
Jehremy
I’m on the lookout for a deal on a single, high-capacity, M18 battery deal to use with OPE.
AlexK
I got the m18 jigsaw with two 5ah batteries last year. Hardly use it, but very glad I have it. I also have a corded barrel handle bosch and a D handle 1859 jigsaw. I’m looking at my three corded porter cable routers, and will not get the m18 router with two batteries.
I will NOT buy the router.
I will NOT buy the router.
I will NOT buy the router.
I will NOT buy the router.
Who am I kidding? If I go into the Poughkeepsie or Newburgh Home Depot, I’m leaving with the router.
Stuart
Here, let me help you.
*waves hand* You’re not buying the router, you’re buying the batteries and charger starter kit and getting the router for free. =)
In all seriousness, you have a bit of time – there’s still plenty of stock and the promo runs for a while. Or, just go for it, and then you have what – 90 days? – to return it if you change your mind.
In my opinion, buyer’s remorse is more easily correctable and less stressful than prolonged FOMO or actually missing out on a deal should it sell out. Right now, there’s little risk of it selling out, which should help you make a more relaxed decision, which is a big part of the point of these posts.
James
but cordless doesn’t have a cord. Why are you waiting?
AlexK
I hope you’re happy Stuart. Now, my eleven children will go to bed hungry, my four ex wives won’t be able to pay their bills and my cat hates me because he has to catch a mouse if he wants to eat. All because of you. You couldn’t just stick with tool reviews. You had to see who you could get hooked on sales.
Well, I satisfied my itch, and for the moment, I’m blissed out.
Two 5ah batteries and charger plus router $200
Two 5ah batteries and charger plus fuel grinder $200
Ryobi 18ga Brad nailer $100
Bosch Laser level $50
Milwaukee gloves $15
Tax $45
I rounded up, so I don’t have to use a pen to add it up. $610. I almost went for the Milwaukee $99 Ratchet and Sockets, but I’ll save that for when I wake up in the middle of the night, needing a tool fix.
On the receipt it says the max return you can get for the batteries and charger is $99.50.
I bought with the intention of returning the unopened boxes of batteries/chargers.
I wouldn’t have bought the grinder for $200. I have a corded Hitachi. For convienience, I can rationalize $100 for a cordless grinder. I’m very happy to have a $200 grinder for a hundred, than buying a lower model for a hundred.
The router for $100? A no brainer. I hope the plunge base goes on sale, but I doubt it.
So I will have spent “only” around $400. But very happy with my purchases of battery powered great tools. So happy, that instead of unpacking them, I spent the afternoon using my Jack plane to flatten a piece of wood. Quieter than my jet 6″ jointer, Dewalt thickness planer and bosch planer.
