Home Depot kicked off the work week with a couple of dozen tool deals of the day (8/11/25), featuring cordless power tools, hand tools, and accessories.
The latest Home Depot tool deals feature their regular brands – Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ridgid, and Ryobi, with some others mixed in, such as Porter Cable pin nailers and a Bosch laser measuring tool.
There are some new discounted tool bundles mixed into today’s sale, such as Milwaukee M12 cordless power tool combo kits that include their M12 Fuel 2-speed cordless screwdriver. One such bundle gives you 4 tools (screwdriver, high speed ratchet, hammer drill, worklight) for $339, and the other swaps the drill for a HO 5Ah battery and $10 lower price.

Another Milwaukee M18 Fuel deal bundle gives you an impact driver, Rapid Charger, and FORGE 8Ah battery for $249.
The M12 Fuel detail sander is bundled with 2 batteries for $169.
HD has the same Dewalt AC and FlexVolt air compressor deal bundles, and quite a few Ryobi outdoor power tool deals, such as an 18V brushless chain saw kit for $199.
As usual, the full list is worth a quick lookover.
The deals end at 3am ET 8/12/25 unless supplies sell out sooner.

A deal is a deal, but a majority of these were part of the Special Buy of the Week, ending last night. A little lazy in my opinion, as far as whoever is deciding when to run deals.

I think it has more to do with reaching sales numbers. If they didn’t reach the quantity of sales of an item they probably get moved over or discounted. I’m guessing there is a lot of statistics that go into their algorithms.
Or it is just laziness and a guy pounding on a keyboard, but somehow I don’t think Home Depot has gotten to be a +$350B Corporation by luck.

I might be wrong but I swear I often see items being featured as the deal of the day before, after, or even during the week they are also featured as a Pro deal of the week. My guess is that the before or after is to catch fence sitters who regret not pulling the trigger, as for the mid week overlap it might be because some buyers are not checking both deal lists. I don’t mind them repeating deals within a tight timeframe, as I have been a fence sitter who has taken advantage of a 2nd shot at a sale item. That said I do wish they would cycle through a larger selection as there are a lot of frequent fliers on the deal lists!

I see very limited overlap between HD deals of the day and Pro deals of the week. Sometimes deals of the day are repeated, other times we never see the same bundles or prices ever again. Their patterns are inconsistent.

They did have the m12 stubby impact with 2 3.0ah batteries for $159 this morning- it must have sold out already

One Home Depot deal not listed here. The 60volt Dewalt miter saw. Kit/ bundle. Consists of the 60 volt saw, 9.0 battery & slow charger for $650.00! Home Depot usually has the saw alone listed at $599. Not sure if it’s a good deal, but it seems reasonable!

FYI- it states in the fine print that it doesn’t include the charger. All of the photos include the battery & charger. Must be using inaccurate stock photos.

Looks like charger comes with it. As Acme now offers the same deal.

Looks like a good price on the P-C pin nailers, but why would anybody need TWO of them? Are they trying to exclude one-man shops?

Keeping track of what is a good deal and what isn’t at The Home Depot is frustrating. Whats a good deal, what’s not? So hard to tell. Is there a tracking site out there like there is for Amazon prices?
In July I picked up an M18 compact router with 5ah batter for what I thought was a good deal at $289 since the tool only is normally $199.
Now yesterday the same kit goes on sale for $179 a full $110 less. I called customer service and a few minutes on the phone netted me a refund of the difference. Which I immediately turned around and spent on that 3 inch M12 orbital sander. lol
Stuart
HD deals and promos tend to change a lot, and so tracking them won’t help much.
You could always ask me/us here.
$289 for the M18 router plus a 5Ah battery is NOT a good price unless you need it ASAP.
When in doubt, look over my Black Friday deal coverage – I try to organize everything for future reference,
Last holiday season, they had the 2x 5Ah battery and charger starter kit at $199, and the router was a free tool option. That give us a baseline as to what the best possible deal looks like.
The deal right now is for a free 5Ah battery with router purchase at $199. They have a separate listing where both are bundled in a single SKU, as opposed to being separate line items. The “unhackable” SKU is probably what you saw yesterday as part of the deal of the day.
Sometimes these deals will be discounted further as an online-only deal of the day at $179, as you’ve seen.
Consider the new M18 Fuel impact and FORGE battery starter kit bundle. This is a brand new combination. Tracking utilities would be useless – you have to know your prices, know where to look at historical prices, or know where to ask.
There are online communities as well (e.g. Reddit) where people regularly ask about deals, but I see a lot of bad advice, typically where folks look at the “was” pricing or advertised savings, which are typically fictitious.

Thanks Stuart!!!! Good info.
Normally I would have watched prices for a while before buying. The M18 router wasn’t on my radar at all, until a project came up. The wife wanted board on batten custom trim installed. Hence I needed a good router to make it. In the end after the refund and military discount, I ended up only paying $160 for the 5ah & router. (Hopefully that was a good deal) At time I ordered the 5ah router kit, I also got a starter kit with two batteries and a charger (you posted here) with power inverter for $134
I will say The Home Depot has great customer service. From phone call to refund was only a few minutes.

Agreed about HD customer service. I’ve called into the Pro Xtra help a couple of times over the past few years, and I’ve been quite pleased at the quick resolutions.

Quick and dirty test for deals like this is converting the price difference, compared to the bare tool, to $$/Ah. In this case $90 / 5Ah is $18/Ah. That’s basically full retail for conventional, mainstream pro brand, battery packs.
