Home Depot launched a new selection of tool deals of the day, featuring cordless power tools, accessories, and more from Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Ryobi.
It’s worth browsing through the entire lineup. Following are the 12 best-looking deals that stood out to me.
Update: These deals have expired. Subscribe to our newsletter for a daily dose of tool news, reviews, and deal alerts.
Milwaukee Shockwave 100pc Screwdriver Bit Set
A reader pointed out the high value of this Shockwave bit set (48-32-5150) recently – thank you Scott!
It comes with a large selection of 2″ and 3-1/2″ power-style screwdriver bits, as well as nut drivers and standard 1″ insert bits.
Plus – it comes with Packout organizer-compatible customizable bit cases. Even if you don’t care about the Packout-friendly form factor, the new style of bit holders are much better to work with.
Ryobi Cordless Glue Gun Kit
Ryobi’s 18V mini hot glue gun kit, P306K1N, comes with a charging base, compact mini-stick-style hot glue gun, 1.5Ah battery, and charger.
That the 18V battery charges the hot glue gun, rather than powering the tool itself, gives it a very compact form factor.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Cordless Band Saw with Battery
This bundles features the Milwaukee M18 Fuel deep-cut band saw, 2729, and a bonus High Output XC 8Ah battery.
The saw has a 5″ x 5″ cutting capacity.
If you’re wondering if this is a good deal or not, I would point out that the tool-only band saw retails for $379.
Some other authorized dealers are offering the band saw with the same bonus battery for that price. So with this deal, you’re getting the bonus battery and a $60 discount.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Cordless 6-Gallon Shop Vacuum
Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel shop vacuums are really good. I’ve been testing their 9-gallon version, and so far it has been great. I have found it to be a good cordless replacement.
The 6-gallon version is a little smaller and lighter, and operates on a single battery. These deals have been tempting, even more so by the modular nature of everything in the lineup.
There are several different options available as part of these deals of the day. At the time of this posting, there’s a separate deal, where you get the same vacuum with 2 AirTip nozzles and a bonus accessory for $279. Today’s deals of the day are better in my opinion, where you get the standard vacuum plus one of several AirTip nozzle options for quite a bit less money.
Ryobi 18V Cordless Wet/Dry Vacuum Kit
Ryobi also has a cordless vacuum deal. This kit (P770KN) comes with their older model wet/dry vacuum, a standard accessory package, 4Ah battery, and charger.
They have a new model cordless vacuum launching this summer, and it will be priced at $149 for the tool-only, and $199 for the kit. $129 for a the older model kit seems like a good bargain.
I tested this model a while back, and it proved to be capable. Its large side wheels were different than I was used to, but effective.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel 10″ Sliding Miter Saw Kit
The Milwaukee M18 Fuel 10″ sliding miter saw, 2734, is bundled in this deal with a Rapid Charger, XC 8Ah battery, and a bonus XC 8Ah battery for (2) total.
The tool-only miter saw retailers for $499. Other authorized dealers have the 1-battery kit with bonus battery for $599. This deal gives you the same bonus with $80 savings.
Milwaukee M18 Fuel SawZall and Angle Grinder Bundle
This bundle gives you the M18 Fuel cordless reciprocating saw, 2821, which is normally $199 for the tool-only, and the M18 Fuel 4-1/2″/5″ paddle switch angle grinder, 2880, which is also normally $199 for the tool-only.
You get $398 worth of bare tools for $279. That’s a good deal if you need them both.
Another retailer has a “buy more, save more” deal where you save $50 on $350+ select Milwaukee tools. This bundle deal still beats that one by $69.
Milwaukee M18 High Output Battery 4-pack
Do you need any more Milwaukee M18 HO batteries?
This deal gives you 2x compact 3Ah batteries and 2x XC 6Ah batteries. It’s essentially a 2-pack of the 48-11-1865S special buy 2-pack, which comes with 1x 3Ah and 1x 6Ah batteries for $179. That seems like a good deal too if you want a variety of new battery sizes but don’t need 4 of them.
Dewalt Atomic 3-Speed Impact Driver Kit + Bonus Tool
I am a big fan of the Dewalt 20V Max Atomic series 3-speed impact, model DCF850.
With this deal, you get the standard kit with 5Ah battery and charger (DCF850P1), plus a bonus tool, in this example the premium brushed motor model reciprocating saw.
There are a couple of bonus tools to choose from.
The kit retails for $219 by itself at Home Depot and elsewhere. If you don’t want the recip saw or other kind of bonus tool, which you’re still paying extra money for – but much less than it would cost otherwise – wait for a different deal.
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Installation Drill/Driver Kit with Bonus Battery
The M12 Fuel installation drill/driver is a great tool for working in tight spots or around obstructions. It comes with 4 interchangeable heads – a drill chuck, offset screwdriver head, right angle adapter, and quick-release screwdriver bit chuck.
You get 2x compact batteries with the kit, plus a charger and soft tool bag. The free bonus is the new M12 XC 5Ah battery, which retails separately for $119 each,
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Mid-Torque Impact Wrench Kit
This bundle gives you the brushless mid-torque 1/2″ impact wrench, 2962, plus a Rapid Charger and XC 8Ah battery starter kit.
The tool-only impact retails for $249 by itself.
While the XC 8Ah battery wouldn’t be my first choice for a tool like this, where you opt for mid-torque to save on size and weight compared to a heavier duty impact, while still getting more power compared to compact or stubby impacts, the price looks to be quite good.
This is a good deal for existing M18 cordless power tool users, or new users who have their sights on more powerful expansion tools.
Alternatively, you could wait for a deal on the everyday kit, which comes with 2x 5Ah batteries and standard charger for $429.
Ryobi 18V Impact Driver Kit PLUS Bonus
The 18V cordless 1/2″ impact delivers up to 375 ft-lbs of fastening torque, or 4500 in-lbs.
It comes with a 4Ah battery and charger, and Home Depot is bundling it with a free gift with purchase. There are 13 tools and accessories to choose from.
The impact and tools in the free gift selection have brushed and not brushless motors, but that’s expected for the price.
Whether you bought into Ryobi’s 18V cordless power tool system or another brand’s, it’s hard to argue with the value of this deal.
These deals and Home Depot’s other tool deals of the day end at 3am ET 4/29/23, unless supplies sell out sooner.
What is your take on the M18 Polisher?
I am on the fence. Already own some M18 tools.
The price seemed good – $309 for the 6″ random orbit polisher plus an XC 6Ah battery.
Hypothetically, let’s say the deal is going to sell out in 60 seconds. Will you have greater regret if you miss the deal, or buy it, change your mind, and decide to return it?
All of the Milwaukee polishers I’ve handled or briefly tested were well-made and thoughtfully designed. If it’s what you want, you’ll likely be happy – the user reviews seem overwhelmingly positive – unless there’s a mismatch between desired and designed-for applications.
The deal seems to save you $20 versus the price at other retailers like ToolUp and ToolsPlus
But you might want to see if the sales tax is the same at different vendors
It’s not showing up anymore but at 3am PST I snagged the combo with a Ryobi rotary tool base, new glue gun, and 2 ah battery for $49. I thought normally they still show the sold out deals but this one is gone from the SBOTD page. This combo was part of the last set of tool deals on SBOTD but sold out before I could get it.
I guess one of the perks of having a newborn is catching these before they sell out.
I snagged that last time it was one sale – very happy with it, and it’s a great deal.
Off topic – I get a “404 page not found error” while trying to navigate to your Dewalt Snowblower announcement from your email this morning. Is it me or was page taken down?
It’s been taking down until Dewalt can confirm the accuracy of the images and details and provide official information.
Got my order last week – the redesigned Milwaukee case really is light years better than those original ones. In ability to remove bits and overall design – they did a much better job using the space efficiently.
I went for the Shockwave 100 piece kit, because it has a lot of 2″ and 3.5″ power bits, and I don’t have many of those.
On the other hand, even though the Ryobi impact driver is a great deal, since I already have what I need (and more, from too many previous great deals), I’m skipping it. Just like Shelly is having a 50% sale on select home automation gear like WiFi relays and such – I like my Shelly 1PM, but don’t need more, so I’m regretfully passing.
Any idea when the new Milwaukee empty cases will be coming out? I’ve been looking forward to it to better organize the bits I use most.
looks like you can get them now. Here is a post about them on here https://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-packout-compatible-accessory-cases/
I am going to pick up the Medium Compact Case.
I would also add that for anyone eyeing Ridgid 18v, or already in the platform, Home Depot has some pretty smoking Special Buy deals. The two I sprung for was a package with the fan, two 4ah batteries, charger and a case for $149. The fan is superb, btw. Other one was their bandsaw, 4ah Max Output battery, upgraded charger and bag for $249. Zero regrets on either of those.
