Wilbur posted a very nice tutorial over at Giant Cypress about how to set the hoop to the handle of a Japanese woodworking chisel. This isn’t something I see myself needing to do anytime soon, but you never know…

The tutorial features bashing, glancing blows, and mushrooming. Wilbur does a great job of simplifying what would otherwise seem like a daunting task.
