Over at Walmart, they’re featuring a “Rollback” deal on the Knipex 4-in-1 electrician pliers, model 13 01 614.
I bought a pair a while back, after having them on my wishlist for what seemed like forever, and they’re convenient and handy. At just 6.25″ long, they’re short, which I like, but not quite as small-feeling as precision pliers.

The Knipex electrician pliers features a fine-grooved gripping area, wire cutting edges, and 3 wire stripper holes, for 10, 12, and 14 AWG wire. They can also be used for crimping end sleeves 0.5 to 2.5 mm^2 (AWG 20-14).
No, they’re not a substitute for full-sized long-nose pliers, fully-featured wire strippers, or side-cutting pliers. But as I mentioned, they’re convenient and handy, suited for quick tasks where you don’t need or want to retrieve tools from your bag or tool box.

Walmart has these for $28.51, and Amazon currently has them for $31.68. In my experience, they rarely dip below $30.
Walmart’s Pro Tools store has not been as compelling as I had expected or let myself hope for. Frankly, I’m disappointed. However, this is a deal I definitely would have been interested in, if I had not already bought one on sale a few years ago.

The only catch about the deal is that you need a $35+ order to get free shipping. Or, opt for free in-store pickup (and let us know whether it’s a smooth process or not).

I’ve wanted theses for awhile. I refuse to pay for shipping though, and we have no Walmarts in my county. Oh well.

These are great for changing out outlets or switches, very pocketable and light. 12 and 14 pretty much covers it. They also have a notch for creating a hook on the wire for side terminals.

Ordered a pair but in-store pickup wasn’t an available option. Added some miscellaneous stuff to reach the $35 free shipping threshold.
Thanks for the post–this is a nice deal

I think Sears used to carry these in-store for quite a bit less, or maybe I’m thinking about the price with a $10 off $30 coupon if they were ~$29.99.
I didn’t get these since $30 is pretty high for dinky electricians pliers and not much of a “Rollback”, but my experience with ordering Knipex stuff through Walmart for in-store pickup has been positive so far and I probably will be ordering more from them in the future as well.

I think it’s too much for these and I have over 50 pairs of Knipex so I’m clearly a fanboy. They’re small which is nice but that also means it limits it’s usage. I use mine more for electronics.

I’ve ordered from walmart.com twice. I’ll gladly order them from Amazon for $10 more to avoid that hassle.

Not related to these pliers – or even the wallmart pro tool store site.
BUT I have used wallmart instore pickup. vs ship to my house for a number of things in this past year. Really easy to do – and now they even have a drive thru lane. Which I’m not sure how I feel about that – I’m sort of anti-drive though in general, fast food or otherwise.
but I go in – smartphone in hand – confirmation number – beep beep – person goes and hands me item. I have to image this would work fine for the tools bit too

I haven’t done it with tools, but I’ve done site-to-store pickup at Walmart with other products, and it’s generally a pretty smooth process. Walmart is starting to remodel stores, taking out a few checkout lanes and replacing them with an automated tower that allows you to pick up site-to-store shipments vending machine style by entering/scanning details from your order. The times I’ve used that in the past, I did have to have the assistant stationed near by (thankfully, they have one, though his job may also including helping the self checkout stands nearby) help me with a few things to get it to work. Overall, however, I like Walmart’s new store pickup process, if just because it eliminates the long walk to the back of the store that the old process required, though the long walk from the car is still there. At the risk of sounding really lazy, if Walmart could reserve a few parking spots at the front of the lot for those doing store pickup, as some stores do, site-to-store would be even more convenient, and I’d use it more often.
Note that Walmart’s “free S&H over $35” also includes orders for some heavy things like cat litter, so it’s worth trying to get some of those delivered to home.
For that matter, I’ve generally been pretty satisfied with the store pickup processes at Lowe’s and Home Depot, which also appear to be increasing the amount of front-end space for pickup items in some stores. Not necessarily as fast as Walmart’s new process, but still pretty quick and convenient.
Menards seems to actively discourage orders for store pickup (e.g., additional picking charges for items shipped from one store to another), and in my experience the process doesn’t meet their usual high standards for speedy and good customer service.

I have had this in my wish list for a while. Ordered it through link from Amazon. Thank you, Stuart.
Ordering through Walmart & pickup at store does save on shipping, but has been a real hassle the last 2 times (that’s 2 out of 4 orders total)

I had high hopes for these, but I found them to be very disappointing c ompared to the stamped Klein strippers. They just didn’t strip very well.
Parazitas
Amazing tool, use it every day for last 3 years.

I’ve had a pair of these for many years. I like the 4 in 1 concept but the strippers just don’t work very well compared to Klein or Ideal strippers. Because they don’t strip very well I don’t use them as much as I thought I would.

I have three pairs ,great tools , I like themfor diagnostic/ troubleshooting kits .

I bought a pair a while back and hoped to put them to good use. The small size and handle design make them work their way down into my hand. This places the crimping area right at the pad at the base of my first finger. Pinching that does not feel good! More rounded handles might fix that.
I don’t use them.
