Home Depot New Year Storage Sale

Home Depot has kicked off a new storage products sale, featuring garage cabinets, shelving units, storage bins, wall systems, organizers, and more.
Amazon Iris Storage Container Sale
Amazon has a new storage sale as well, featuring many Iris storage bins and organizers. I’ve had good experiences with the brand’s USA-made plastic bins before, and will likely order some of their WeatherPro bins.

Additional Deals
Energizer 24xAA + 24xAAA Batteries – $27 at Amazon
I bought the same Energizer pack last week for a dollar and change more. From the 12/31 expiration, it seems the batteries have been on the shelf for a year already, leaving 9 of the 10 years of shelf life remaining.
Bucket Boss Canvas Shop Apron – $19.50 at Amazon
Dewalt Tool Deals at Amazon – These all look to be holiday season remnants, some at lower prices.
Bulldog 1300pc Fastener Kit – $19.98 at Lowe’s (1/3/23 deal of the day)
Tim+E.
The only thing I don’t like about that Bulldog fastener kit is the images are deceptive. The first couple show nice full (even to overflowing) bins in the organizer, implying you’re getting a larger amount of fasteners than you actually are, and the 1300 piece count supports that illusion. Get to the fourth or so picture where it has the specific piece counts for each size, and the bins are much emptier showing what you actually get. But $20 is not bad for 1300 pieces, particularly to have an assortment of screws and bolts to tackle tasks.
When I was mentoring a robotics team, we had bolt assortments we luckily had donated, but even restocking those as we used them with bulk fasteners was a not-insignificant expense. Hardware just keeps getting more expensive!

Bulldog link on Firefox doesn’t open.
So I searched for Lowes Bulldog 1300…

Not sure why your link didn’t work for me…
Stuart
It works for me in Chrome and Firefox without issue.
If you’re using ad-blockers or certain plugins, that can cause issues with affiliate redirects.

Did you change something? It wasn’t working for me either, the link would open a new tab which would close instantly without any message, now it works.
Stuart
No edits or changes were made. There could have been a temporary glitch with Lowe’s or their affiliate network.
There’s not much troubleshooting I can do unless I can replicate an issue. I’ll do some more quick testing later just in case.

The window opening and closing on firefox appears to be related to sjv.io being blacklisted in Ublock Origin’s default ‘EasyList.to’ blacklist. If I whitelist the domain the home depot and lowes links work.

In the home depot sale theres a crescent tool set for a good price point that would actually be good for a start for a general purpose tool set.
$35 regular $80. For $35 its likely good enough quality and a fair value.
Hammer, channellock style pliers, adj. Wrench, 1/4 socket set, screwdriver, basic hex wrenches, tape measure, bits in a case. Add a utility knife, scissors, needlenose pliers with a wire cutter, torpedo level. Maybe a seperate cordless drill/driver and a handsaw for the next level.

Are those fasteners even chrome? It looks like they’re regular zinc-plated fasteners. If that were a chrome assortment that’d be a really good deal.
Stuart
I highly doubt it. They look like ordinary zinc-plated fasteners to me too.
They don’t specify except for “chrome” in the product description.
