Norton74 Lego Garage Life

Andrea Lattanzio, who is also known as Norton74, has created several fantastic Lego dioramas that are chock-full of incredibly detailed models.

Just try to count how many great designs appear in Norton74’s Garage Life display, shown above. I dare you! It’s the small touches that make the difference between a good display and a great one.

While it’s hard to say which are my favorite aspects, I was especially drawn to the sink, electrical outlets and conduits, the coiled hose of the air compressor, and the shop lights.

This is the best Lego rendition of an automotive garage that I have ever seen. it is simply spectacular.

Check out Norton74’s Flickr Photostream, or simply look at the larger version of this image.

Norton74 Lego Scooter Service Shop

There are a couple of other eye-poppingly detailed Lego displays as well, such as this scooter service shop. It’s got a pegboard tool board, a drill press complete with belt drive, a welder, and even cardboard boxes presumably filled with scooter parts.

While some elements are reused across different dioramas, Norton74 was sure to add special elements to this build, including a blast cabinet and scissor-style scooter lifts.

And check out that piping or conduit on the wall! There are so many nice touches here, such as the electrical control panels and wall-mounted air vent. It is a seriously awesome Lego model of a scooter service shop.

So how did I find out about all this? While I am a Lego fan and try to follow some popular Lego sites every now and then, I actually came across Norton74’s Lego displays in a very indirect way.

Benjamen, a ToolGuyd contributor (you can see his posts here) that you should have noticed by now, as he’s got more than 60 tool posts and reviews under his belt, had seen Norton74’s work on the Brothers Brick, and was inspired to create a Lego model of his Craftsman tool chest and cabinet.

I saw Ben’s tool cabinet model via Google+, and one thing led to another.

This really is a nice toolbox model as well.

that’s very impressive. I loved legos as a kid – hope to play some with my daughter in a few years.

especially the technic legos. I’m hoping she’ll be a plumber or electrician so she can afford to put me in a good rest home in 30 years.

    again very nice.

My wife bought me a new Lego Technic set for my birthday. Their motorized and pneumatic sets are simply awesome, and we both love some of the modular buildings.

I briefly reviewed the crane on GearGuyd: http://gearguyd.com/lego-technic-crane-42009-review/ .

We had some Lego sets as a kit, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I learned about and got into the Technic sets.
