Lowe’s has dropped the price of these Craftsman V20 cordless drill and impact driver tool kits down to $69.

Each kit comes with the tool, a 2Ah battery, and compact-style charger.

These were a holiday season special buy, and it seems Lowe’s is trying to clear out leftover inventory at a great price.

Craftsman has been sluggish to expand their line of cordless power tools, but their RP brushless tools tend to be decent performers. They seem like a good value at this price point.

Great price. I wish Dewalt would follow Bosch, Matabo and others in having universal batteries for its brands. Would be nice to have various Porter Cable, Mac, DeWalt, Craftsman, Bostitch or other SBD tool brands with universal batteries.

100% agreed but they wouldn’t want folks buying $50 Porter cable or black and decker batteries instead of Dewalt.

Mac 20v/12v are compatible however and at least used to say powered by dewalt

It wouldn’t be hard for them to make it so dewalt batteries work in the cheaper tools but not vice-versa.

I think what we’re seeing are brands that don’t really have a reason for a separate existence anymore.

Agreed. Granted 3d printed adopters are easily found.
