Lowe’s Dewalt PowerStack Battery Deal Sold Out Already

Lowes Dewalt PowerStack 5Ah Battery Starter Kit Deal

Lowe’s splashed their front page with Dewalt Days tool deals banners, and one of the deals looked especially good.

They say “1 Day Only” for a huge doorbuster-like Dewalt 20V Max PowerStack deal, where you can get the premium 5Ah pouch cell battery and a charger for just $49.

Lowe’s had this Dewalt cordless starter kit on clearance a few months ago for $91. It was $99 at Amazon back in July, and is $95 at Amazon at the time of this posting.

$49 at Lowe’s vs $95 at Amazon? Sounds great.

But then if you look at Acme Tools, they’re selling the Dewalt PowerStack 5Ah battery for $219 each. They also have the starter kit for $139.

Dewalt’s PowerStack 5Ah battery and starter kit pricing is all over the place right now. The only thing that’s clear to me is that $49 is a phenomenally good price for the starter kit. Even if you don’t need the charger, that’s a huge bargain for the battery.

Dewalt PowerStack Cordless Power Tool Battery and Charger Clearance at Lowes

Somehow they thought it was a good idea to take a starter kit that was on clearance 4 months ago and make it a deal of the day.

Of course it’s already sold out.

Was it sold out at the start? I’ve seen that before – where deals of the day, even on special sales events such as Cyber Monday – are sold out from the start.

Maybe you’ll get lucky and there’s a store near you with a starter kit or two collecting dust on a shelf just waiting to be purchased online for in-store pickup.

The rest of Lowe’s “Dewalt Days” tool deals seem mediocre to me. With Amazon Prime Big Deal Days coming next week and holiday season deals a few weeks later, there’s no reason to rush into things. Getting a PowerStack 5Ah battery for $49? That’s different, but good luck trying to get that deal.

Some of the deals are popping up at other retailers. Amazon, for example, also has the Dewalt rolling jobsite table saw for $599.

Last year, the Dewalt table saw had a “regular price” of $649 and was $599 around Black Friday. Now, the “regular price” has been bumped up to $699 – or $719 for the list price at Amazon – but it’s still on sale for $599.

Two years ago the same saw was $549 and as low as $474 after coupon. (See HOT Deal on Dewalt DWE7491RS Table Saw). Prices are up due to tariffs, but shoppers should still do their research.

I wouldn’t rush to buy the table saw for $599. Will the price get better? Probably not. Will it push higher? I’d also say probably not.

We’re about to enter a messy holiday deals season. Shop carefully.

I’ve been looking for a Powerstack battery for my $150 Grabo that Lowes had on sale a few weeks ago. As far as I can tell, the $95 starter at Amazon is old stock. Same with the $150 starter at Home Depot:

Acme has new stock (as far as I can tell), but delivery is in a few weeks:

Prime Day #2 is next week and Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc. is in a few weeks. I’m going to sit back and wait for the right deal.

You cannot go by the product images. One retailer might have old stock with the newer images, another might have new stock with the older images.

I picked up two of them yesterday. I bought them from my two grabo also. Easier they using an adapter. And I figure with a 5ah on them they should last just about forever.

Dang, that would have been a hell of a deal. I retired all my old 20V max packs last year, I’ve got a few powerstacks and a couple PowerPack 8ahs but I am a little low on Dewalt batteries right now and would have loved to have grabbed a couple of those.

I haven’t bought much in the way of cordless tools lately. I picked up the Dewalt bandfile last month, that’s really about it for most of this year.

The other cordless tools I’ve been looking for lately have been pricey so I haven’t bought. I’m hoping to pick up a couple more M12 5.0 HO batteries and at least one of the M12 6in RO sanders during black friday sales, but that depends on what they cost.

Not sure if this is the right place for the input, but just an FYI, the sub title/description for this post has a typo. It should read, “That’s so disappointing”, but currently shows “That’s do disappointing”

The power stack batteries are especially useful for me on my Milwaukee m18 nail guns which I use with my Dewalt batteries. Having the smaller form factor along with the adapter body is a great matchup.

This sounds great. I’d be interested n doing the same with Milwaukee or Hikoki.

I caught it purely by chance at around 6AM and grabbed one. I think they were only clearing out store inventory, I wanted to send it to someone else as a gift but it only allowed local shipping. Oh well, I’ll have to deliver in person.

I usually check the Lowe’s deal of the day around 6am with my morning coffee as well, and since I was already heading to Tractor Supply and Home Depot which are both within like 1000ft of Lowe’s, AND I had a $5 MyLowe’s reward, it was a no-brainer at $44 and I ordered it for in-store pickup.

Oh yea, and if you are a Lowe’s Rewards Club member, they are giving away Lowes/First Alert fire dog plush toys this week. If you have kids, grab one.

Side note, I would be thrilled if Stanley started making Craftsman and DeWalt tools that could use the same battery system.

Outside of the USA, Craftsman cordless power tools, or nearly identical versions, are sold under Craftsman FatMax branding. Don’t count on seeing compatibility between Dewalt and Craftsman.

My local Ace had the powerstack 5/1.7/charger kit at $99 last weekend. I bought one and was a little surprised to find the batteries had three year old date codes. Still not disappointed with the deal, but it makes a little more sense now.

HD matched it with today’s SBoTD, but it sold out in an hour or so. There were only ~250 to begin with.
