Basically, you get brushless versions of the drill/driver, impact driver, and circular saw. The reciprocating saw gets swapped for an oscillating multi-tool, and the stick vacuum for a Bluetooth radio. Also, you get Makita’s 18V rapid charger, rather than a “standard” charger.

All these upgrades and changes will only set you back an extra $100.

This is still a value-focused kit, as the 3.0Ah batteries suggest, but there aren’t notable sacrifices or compromises.

Both deals are great values, but If you want my opinion, this upgraded 6-tool combo kit is the hotter deal – if you prefer the tool choices.
