Acme Tools just kicked off a new Makita flash sale, with a wide selection of Makita 18V cordless power tools, XGT, 12V Max, accessories, tool boxes eligible for savings that are better than usual.
This is a “buy more, save more” promo – save $25 off $199+, $50 off $299+, or $75 off $399+, with code MAKITADEALS.
The deal ends 11:59pm CST 10/29/2022.

If you are right at the $199 threshold, savings of $25 reflects a discount of about 12.6%. If you are right at the $399 threshold, the $75 savings reflects a discount of about 18.8%.
There are some very popular tools eligible for the latest promo, such as Makita’s XGT track saw kit, which is ALSO eligible for a free bonus battery. I checked, and there is also an XGT free battery with kit purchase offer that does stack with this coupon.
I bought a Makita XGT track saw in mid-December 2021. It was $580 and eligible for 10% savings, for an out-the-door price of $522 (plus tax) with free shipping. With this promo, it’s $629, or $554 after $75 savings, but also eligible for a free 4Ah battery that’s valued at $219.
This seems like a really good deal. There’s another Makita XGT battery offer, where you get a free 4Ah battery with the purchase of 2 bare tools.
I’ve got one tool in my shopping cart so far – the 40V Max air duster/blower and I will likely add a MakPack cantilever tool box and/or dolly. I need another XGT bare tool to get the free battery! Any suggestions for XGT tools you guys might want to see reviewed here?

Stuart: The XTG trim router. GTR01Z. You did a “It’s released in Japan and here are the specs” review but not a hands on review, that I could find. Also, the XTG dual bevel sliding compound miter saw. GSL02M1. Though that may be out of your price range for this purpose.

From a value perspective, those are both tough ones. The XGT router is double the price of the 18V version. That type of tool is going to benefit more from a more compact (XGT 2.5Ah) battery than a 4Ah battery (8Ah 18V equivalent), which means I’ll need to look at kit options.
I can’t find any reviews on the XGT router either, which increases my curiosity.
I’m not prepared for a new miter saw, but will consider it. I would ordinarily gravitate towards 10″, but I tend to use my Milwaukee 7-1/4″ sample much more than anything else. The GSL02M1 is an 8-1/2″ saw, which might be an interesting middle ground.
Looking at last year’s deals, this *could* be the best deal in a while. I’ll have to think about the miter saw.

Milwaukee or Dewalt needs to come out with one of those blower things. I imagine they’d work great for dusting out PCs. I use a metro datavac for that now, but would be happy to cut the cord for that one.

I use a Ryobi inflator and it works great. I have different tool companies in my collection so it’s handy.

I have that one AND the Ryobi Workshop Blower ( https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Cordless-Compact-Workshop-Blower-Tool-Only-P755/301289973 ), but the Makita is still pretty cool, especially with all those tools.
I’ve tried some 3D printed nozzles for both Ryobis, and they’ve been hit or miss.

I like that Ryobi blower. Reminds me of the M12 and I’d like something not too powerful. Price is right too. Thanks for the link.
