Makita Buy More Deal 8-19-19

Our friends at CPO sent me a note about their exclusive Makita promo that’s ending today.

Ending 8/19/2019, save $20 off $100+ Makita tool orders or $30 off $150+ orders.

There’s a wide range of eligible tools, with the count at 763 via the deal link posted below. I couldn’t find any notable exclusions to point out, although I’m sure there are some tools or kits that aren’t eligible for the coupon.

I also checked a couple of tools, and their before-coupon prices seem to be inline with pricing at other authorized online dealers. In other words, this looks to be a good deal to snag some new Makita tools at a nice discount. If you decide to skip the deal, it’s ~3 months until the winter holiday promos roll around.

If your order total doesn’t quite reach the minimum to get the coupon savings, filter the list according to price, as there are some power tool accessories also eligible for the deal. For example, if your order is at say $96 or $146, add a pack of impact bits, a bit holder, cut-off wheel, or other accessory to pad your order above the threshold.

CPO has free shipping on $49+ orders (with typical conditions).

Coupon Code: MAKSALE

Cannot be combined with any other order level discount. Offer valid until 11:59pm ET on August 19, 2019 or while supplies last. No adjustments to previous purchases. I was looking to get the 18v multi tool which appears to be out of stock on their website. I wonder if that means a new one will be released soon.

I hope so. Its a great tool, but the ergonomics kinda suck. They just had it as a part of the “buy a 3.0 starter kit, get a free tool” deal at HD. The starter kit was only $89, which was cheaper than the tool itself. I hope that is a sign they’re clearing stock.

Do you have any link to the old promo?

I disagree. I use my multiple times a week professionally and love it. It has a very ergonomic grip and the balance for making all sorts of precise cuts in awkward positions. For me it has outpreformed the 10 or so corded and cordless models I’ve put my hands on in the field. It is big, if you have small hands/forearms it can be cumbersome. Can’t wait for a brushless version.

I see they have an 18V multi tool available – https://www.cpooutlets.com/makita-xmt035-18v-lxt-3-0-ah-li-ion-multi-tool-kit/mktnxmt035,default,pd.html

Yeah, I would have bought one as part of the promo but it’s hard to justify one at full price. I like my corded Bosch and I would love to go cordless but the current one seems a bit of a downgrade.

i recommend you pick it up. I thought the same as you but finally purchased one at full price and its absolutely worth it. it is very convenient for this tool to be cordless.

also anyone know if new 18ga is coming out anytime soon??
