Megapro came out with a Holiday bundle deal this year, featuring an 8-in-1 multi-bit screwdriver and LED worklight.
I have been a big fan of Megapro screwdrivers for a very long time, especially their ratcheting screwdrivers.
This one doesn’t ratchet, but it has an appealing bit loadout and I’m liking the hi-visibility green handle.

In addition to the multi-bit screwdriver, you also get a pocket-friendly LED worklight.

The Megapro 8-in-1 screwdriver features built-in bit storage, and comes with 2″ long 1/4″ hex bits. This means they’re easily replaceable, and can also be used with a cordless drill or screwdriver.
It comes with 7 bits, plus the built-in 1/4″ hex bit holder that doubles as a nut driver.
- Square #2
- Philips #1, #2, #3
- Slotted 4, 6
- Torx T15

The LED light measures 6-1/2″ long and features a swiveling pocket clip. According to Megapro’s website, it’s water resistant, rugged, and delivers 120 lumens of brightness. It’s powered by 3x AAA batteries
Price: $21.99
I don’t need any more worklights, but I have a lot of friends and family that do. I’m adding this to my shopping list.

I bought a similar Megapro hi-vis 15-in-1 screwdriver about two years back, and love the color. Even though you lose some bit sizes with this 8-in-1 model, I like the idea of using industry-standard 2″ power bits rather than double-ended bits.
Yes, Megapro’s screwdriver bits are easily replaceable, but I like to swap bits around, and standard 1″ and 2″ hex bits makes that easier to do.
So, what do you think – is this a HOT deal, or NOT?

I was showing my (ratcheting) megapro 15-in-1 to our electricians a few days ago. The ratcheting was cool, but it was the comfort, grip, and bits that was the appealing part to me and them. I just do stuff around the house, but learned a long time ago to not skimp with the tools. If you’re making a living with your hands and tools like that, I cannot fathom why brands like megapro, knipex, and wera would not fill your toolbox.
100% hot deal.

Not.
By the time you add shipping, it’s almost $30. You can get the screwdriver by itself, with free shipping, from the Amazon link, for $19.
The work light isn’t nice enough to justify the extra money to me.

That work light or a very similar magnetic one was my very first LED work light about 12-13 years ago. I never did like the way the light was directed along the side…no matter what it always seemed a bit awkward, except the odd time where I was working inside an electrical panel and I could shine the light but even that was hard to get a good angle. LOVE Megapro screwdrivers tho!

Oh, agreed. I ordered the Megapro from Amazon just for the 2″ power bit capability. I’m already planning on swapping out half the bits for sizes I need.
Acme actually has the same model in black or orange for $16, but the shipping made it less of a deal than the Amazon listing.

I think it’s reasonable
Great no.
Love megapro drivers. I have the ratcheting one but don’t use it nearly as much since I got the DeWalt installation driver
The light looks like an ez red item but kit wise I might get one for each brother in law

I think that’s a nice gift set. The light is bright enough to be useful and Megapeo screwdrivers are good. Personally, I prefer Picquic and Rolgear, but it might be a COO thing.
In Canada this pack is on sale at KMS right now for $24.95 – which, considering our weaker dollar, makes it an even better deal.
However, the Rolgear ratcheting screwdriver is also a “special price” at the same store for $15 – that’s even better in my opinion. Or if you prefer non-ratcheting, Picquics are on sale at Canadian Tire.

I agree with Jared.
As nice as Megapros are, they’re not as tough as Canada’s own Picquics!
